  • Personal Wellness

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

As we engaged in a hygiene health unit of study, we strived to create a supportive and healthy environment for all our students in our classroom. One of the critical aspects of this is ensuring that every student has access to essential personal hygiene products. Unfortunately, not all students have the means to obtain these items, which can lead to feelings of embarrassment, distraction from learning, and a decline in overall well-being.

Your donation of personal hygiene products helped us address these challenges.

These items not only promoted hygiene and health, but, also fostered a sense of dignity and self-care among our students. Thanks to your support, my students feel comfortable and confident in their personal hygiene and they and have been fully engaged in their education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

It is our intention for the students to share the decorated kindness rocks with inspirational messages, designs and artwork painted on each rock throughout our campus for others to find as we celebrate the Valentine's Day! The intention is to spread positivity and brighten someone's day by creating a surprise and a moment of joy.”

  • Hands-On Circuit Boards

    Funded Dec 12, 2024

Students need to engage in hands-on opportunities to achieve understanding and thrive academically. In order to master science concepts my kiddos have been participating in hands-on, project-based interactive learning thanks to your generosity.

We are presently involved in an energy unit of study in which we have been engaging in a series of hands-on activities including creating a variety of circuits.

The materials you donated have been and will be used for creating these circuits as well as labs about potential, kinetic energy and creating models using a multitude of existing materials. The requested hand vacuum has been used repeatedly to clean up debris, keyboards and electronics.

My students are eager learners and have been working hard to meet their academic goals. The materials you donated for this project will help them succeed academically now and in the future!”

  • We r Fighting Hunger!

    Funded Oct 25, 2024

It was my goal to give my students an opportunity to give back to people within our school community who are less fortunate by donating non perishable food and snacks through a student created pantry.

As an educator I wanted to make it our mission to fight food insecurities.

We can use the opportunity of creating a food and snack pantry using the requested food items, snacks and pantry storage containers to teach my students why it is important to give back to others when there is an opportunity to give back.

My vision for this project was to have students create a fully stocked pantry for distribution to those in need whether within our classroom or in our school community. I feel it is never too early to teach students about giving back, and taking action to support a cause that will make this world a better place.

Thanks to your kind generosity our project became a reality and our kiddos will fbe encouraged to always think about others, and have empathy for those who are less fortunate.”

  • One Family....Many Nationalities!

    Funded Oct 10, 2024

It was my goal for my students, many of which are students with diverse special needs, to develop financial literacy skills throughout the school year. After discussing the importance of earning, investing, and saving, our kiddos have had the opportunity to earn classroom money for things such as performing their class jobs, attending school on a daily basis, doing their homework, performing acts of kindness, and going above and beyond while meeting academic expectations. We have established a classroom store stocked and supplied with the treats, fidget toys, school supplies and incentives you so generously funded as well as existing snacks and displayed in the requested metal storage rack and bins. Every week, the students have and will take turns running the classroom store while their classmates shop with the money they have earned. The students use the money saved to purchase/invest in items such as basic supplies, treats, incentives and snacks. Thanks again for your kind and generous contributions to our project and for taking an interest in our students' development! You are appreciated!!”

  • Together We Can!

    Funded Sep 16, 2024

Every year our class engages in a kindness matters theme near the beginning of the school year. We create a kindness squad and engage in related activities. This year, I created a project to help students cultivate empathy and a spirit of giving among students by providing them with the materials they need to support their peers. Our goal was to help students see the world through the eyes of another person and foster a community grounded in compassion, understanding and kindness. Thanks to your kindness and generosity our project became a reality and our kiddos had the opportunity to not only nourish their bodies with the provided snacks, but also to nourish their understanding of empathy and compassion.

Students took an active role in this project by participating in snack drives and distribution. They learned about the impact of food insecurity and worked collaboratively to address this issue. Through discussions and activities centered around compassion, students explored different perspectives and the importance of supporting one another.

The project was a great success thanks to your support and generosity, you are appreciated more than words can express!”

  • Care Corner!

    Funded Jul 30, 2024

My goal for our project was to create a care corner to provide items for my 5th grade kiddos and any other students that may not have the opportunity to have these available to them. I had been supplying my care corner throughout the years and it was getting very expensive, so I created our project in hopes that it would be funded. Thanks to your contributions it did! The materials you helped fund were put to good use upon arrival and have made it possible for ALL of our kiddos to start the fifth grade empowered with the materials they need to succeed! The care corner provides things such as feminine products, breakfast foods, lunch snacks, hygiene items and many more things including school supplies. It is hard for students to be successful if their needs are not being met and thanks to your kindness and generosity this has become a reality. Thanks to you our care corner has reached all of my students and many others in our grade level. You are appreciated by all!”

My students attend a Title 1 school. The school is located in a low socioeconomic Hispanic area. The population of the students in my class consists of mostly Hispanic students, some with very limited English proficiency. Some of these students have recently arrived in the United States and their families are struggling to provide their children with the basics. Most of these students have been impacted by their parents' struggles and are in need of motivation and a boost to their self esteem.
