  • Ready Made STEM Lessons

    Funded Aug 2, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our second grade classroom. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift cards have come in handy with purchasing ready made STEM lessons. We have done some team building challenges like building the tallest free standing tower using spaghetti noodles and marshmallows and we've also built 3-D figures to hold up a heavy textbook using toothpicks and gummy bears. My students are learning to work together and persevere when their creations fail.

My students are also enjoying the plus plus building blocks and base plates. They love building and creating!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayashi

  • Personal STEM Kits

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade project. My students enjoy their personal STEM kits! They love building and creating things. The brain flakes are a favorite and so are the fidget spinners! It's so amazing to see their creativity blossom week after week! Their end products are much more detailed because they are learning and getting ideas from each other.

My students look forward to playing with their kits. It motivates them to get their independent work done in a timely manner. It's a win-win! ☺️”

  • Hands-On Fun!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting our kindergarten classroom. With your generous donation, I was able to add new manipulatives to their individual kits. The students enjoy playing with the plus plus toys during indoor recesses. They are getting so much better with building and their creativity is amazing. The mini doodle boards are also a hit. They use them as response boards and to practice their writing skills.

Lastly, the unifix cubes have been super helpful with adding and subtracting numbers. Mahalo for your kindness!”

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our kindergarten classroom. Your support has helped us get access to ready made lessons for ELA, math, science and social studies. It has been a blessing to be able to purchase ready made grade appropriate lessons for reteaching concepts and skills and for last minute substitute days. I am extremely grateful for your generosity. • Reading Goal Incentives

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our reading goal incentive project. I was able to use some of the items in this project for its original intended purpose. Students earned a pop it fidget toy when they met their weekly reading goal.

However, 3 weeks into the school year, I was placed into a Kindergarten classroom position. Therefore, I used the remaining items for my kindergarteners. I gave each student a fidget toy and squishy to add to their personal kits. Due to the ongoing COVID concern, I made each student a personal baggy with toys in it to keep at their desks for indoor recesses. The students are enjoying playing and fidgeting with their new toys!”

  • Building Strong Early Literacy Skills!

    Funded Jul 28, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. I am so grateful for your generosity!

This project was originally intended to serve our ELL population in grades K-5; however due to staffing changes I became a kindergarten classroom teacher. I have been utilizing all of these items with my kinders. The Donorschoose gift card has been heaven sent. I've been able to purchase many ready made lessons to supplement our reading and writing curriculum. The others items such as the posters have been helpful for my students to refer to for proper letter formation and the plastic bins have been used to store learning materials. Happy holidays to you!”

  • Classroom Organization Maximizes Learning!

    Funded Jul 7, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. The bookshelf is a great, needed addition to our classroom. We are not using it for it's original intended purpose; however, it is definitely being put to good use. Due to covid 19 concerns, I am not able to work with small groups and students are limited with movement within the classroom. Therefore, I am using the bookshelf to store and organize student learning materials that I can easily access. Thanks again for your generosity. We appreciate your kindness!”

For example, they keep their mini magnetic drawing response board, transparent counters, pop it fidget toys and plus plus manipulatives in it. I love the organization! • We Are All Special!

    Funded Jul 5, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. The intent of this project was to expand our classroom library with picture books about different cultures. I was the English language teacher at the time that this project was fulfilled. However, at the start of the school year, I committed to teaching kindergarten due to our school's increase of enrollment in kinder. I plan to keep these books as resources because I may be able to use them with my students. However, if I don't need them in the near future, I plan to donate them to our next EL teacher. Thank you for your generosity!”
