  • Healthy Habits

    Funded Nov 17, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project. We truly appreciate your generosity.

My students have been coming to school with various illnesses and I feel like the air purifiers are helping to clean our classroom air.

My students are definitely loving the new playground equipment. They are learning how to play nicely with one another by sharing the soccer balls and kickballs. Cooperative play is slowly getting better for us!

The stickers are also a big hit as they are given to students as incentives.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayashi

  • STEM Kits for Kids

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

Thank you so much for sponsoring our classroom needs. My students and I are very grateful for your generosity.

My students are enjoying building things with the Plus Plus manipulatives and baseplates. The zippered pouches are helping to keep each student's calming tools and STEM items organized. My students love the pretty colorful pencils. It seems as if we never had enough sharpened pencils, so this pencil set is very handy to have on hand.

Thank you again for supporting our second grade classroom!”

  • Ready Made Lessons

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project. I have been able to use the gift cards to purchase various ready made lessons. For example, I was able to purchase a handful of Christmas lessons and craft activities recently. My students made a gingerbread house paper bag craft, a snowman christmas card for their parents and a santa letter craft.

I've also used the gift cards to purchase lessons to accompany picture books that I read to my class.

My students and I are grateful for your support!

    Happy Holidays!”

    Mrs. Hayashi

  • Engaging Magazines for Eager Readers

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project. My students and I are really enjoying reading and learning about interesting topics.

My students really enjoyed reading about different types of spiders this week. The magazine article focused on tarantulas but the video that accompanied the magazine article described some interesting facts about different types of spiders. My students were really intrigued with the trap door spider.

I love seeing my students get excited about learning new things! These Scholastic News magazines are a wonderful complement to our curriculum.”

  • Time to Replenish Dry Erase Learning Tools

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our second grade classroom. My students have been using the clipboards, dry erase pens, erasers and dry erase pockets on a daily basis. We use all of these materials in whole group, small groups and one on one setting.

I love the dry erase pocket sleeves because it saves a lot of paper. I don't have to make a ton of copies especially for practicing math skills. We reuse the worksheets because we use them over and over again in the dry erase pocket sleeves. My students also love using dry erase pens. It's more fun to use!”

  • Right Brain Creations

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our second grade classroom project. The brain flakes and building bricks are a great addition to our individualized calming tool kits. My students are enjoying building and creating new things with both of these tools. We have used them during indoor recess, STEM projects and calming tools time. It's amazing how creative my students can get using these learning tools. They have so much fun using them. I love seeing them learn ideas from one another. It's a fabulous addition to our classroom! Mahalo for your generosity!”

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project. My students are enjoying all of the brand new learning supplies. They love creating products using their plus plus toys. They also enjoy using their fidget spinners. Our calming tool bags are so helpful! Each student has a zippered pouch with calming tools such as a fidget spinner, plus plus toys, brain flakes and play doh.

Your generous donation has allowed my students access to various STEM tools that help with their social emotional well being. Thank you for your kindness.”

  • From Self Awareness to Social Awareness

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project. The adjustable mobile teacher desk is a lifesaver. I absolutely love it! I am able to move it around my classroom easily and it's size is perfect for storing my daily teaching materials.

My students and I are also enjoying our new picture books! Our classroom library is slowly filling up each school year. We have been reading these picture books as read alouds and using them to spark interest in writing activities.

We are grateful for your generosity!”

  • STEM Learning Tools for Success

    Funded Aug 8, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our second grade classroom project.

First of all, the mobile stand up teacher desk is a life saver. It fits my ipad stand which enables me to project books and worksheets to my students. It also has a small desk storage to hold my remote controls and some of my teaching resource books. I love my new desk because it allows me to teach standing up and I can move from one place to another with ease.

The magnetic base ten blocks came in handy when I taught 2 and 3-digit numbers. It's big enough for students to visibly see on the white board.

The clear view boxes have been filled with STEM manupulatives and student incentives. They are a lifesaver because it keeps it all organized and I can see what's in them without having to open the cover.”

    Mrs. Hayashi

The kidney-shaped table will be used daily for small group math and reading instruction. Students will be able to get either one-on-one or small group instruction with the teacher in order to meet their individual needs. Students learn best in smaller group settings; therefore the kidney-shaped table will be perfect for engaging most students in various activities and lessons. The white board materials will help engage students to participate in daily activities. The white boards, markers and erasers will be used for math practice and reading and writing skills practice. Students enjoy using white boards versus paper and pencil. Students will be excited to learn using them
