Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for donating to our project!
We as a class have used our kitchen supplies to make a reward breakfast, go over kitchen safety and rules, and to make delicious sugar cookies for our families! My students' eyes lit up when they saw the aprons and utensils, everyone wanted to mix and measure for pancakes.
We will continue to use our new kitchen to learn kitchen safety, how to measure ingredients, and best of all to cook delicious food as reward for positive behavior.
We can't wait to make our next lunch, we might learn how to air fry hotdogs!”

Funded Aug 19, 2021I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your donations.
My students ask to use the materials provided through your kindness. Their eyes light up every time they I pull out another activity for them to complete. The playdoh get a lot of use and is helping so much with occupational therapy activities. The puzzles are used for independent choice time and during small group learning of the alphabet, sounds and numbers. We have started using the sight word flash cards in individual lessons.
We are working toward using the word cards and blocks to start spelling and sounding out activities.
Again I cannot thank you enough for thinking of my students and helping enhance their everyday learning with fun activities.”

Funded Jul 13, 2018The materials you have so kindly helped my class get are making a huge impact on our students. My students love the magnetic dry erase easel and the magnetic ten frames, they make math a lot more fun. They love the I-Pad and are able to work on Occupational Therapy skills with it during center times. They also love the new CD player in their reading center! The giant timer makes it easier for them to hold me accountable for staying on time with our groups.
Each time a new box came my students eyes lit up because they knew it was more amazing supplies for their classroom. Each student loved trying out the new supplies and helping decide where in the classroom it would go.
You have all made more of an impact on these kids than you could ever understand because they just knew there were people out there that cared every time a new box of supplies arrived.”

Tables and Chairs Make Us Better Working Pairs
Funded Aug 26, 2016The materials you have so kindly helped my class get are making a huge impact on our students. The table has made having small groups so much easier and the table is at just the right height for my smaller students. The ball chairs are not only a great tool for my students who have trouble sitting still but are also great for assisting with PT with students with stability issues. The foot rockers are the biggest hit of all because the students can move their legs while working and they also help with the smaller students who needed a stool to help reach the floor in their chairs.

Funded Mar 1, 2016Dear Donors,
I can not possibly thank you enough for donating to help my classroom. The supplies provided have made such an amazing impact on my students.
My students all participate in OT and PT and have sensory issues. The ball chair and the doppers have been the biggest hit with my students. When they are frustrated or hyper they go and bounce on the chair for a few minutes and are ready to work again. The doppers have helped my students with fine motor problems be able to complete craft activities with less frustration. The magnetic board is used everyday in math and reading to provide a larger visual of exactly what they are doing. They love playing math games with the floor mat, which is also very helpful for my student with vision impairment.
When I brought the boxes into the classroom and showed my students what had been given to them their first words were "Wow! someone gave us all this, they must think we are really special!" And all I could say to them is "yes you are very special and now more people know it!"”

Let's Get Reading!
Funded Nov 12, 2014Thank you so very much for your generosity. My students were so happy to see their new listening center and beg to use it every day. They could not believe at first that this center was for them and that people had donated the money so that they could have books and a listening center for their classroom. They tell me everyday how much they love their books and being able to sit and read along to the stories by themselves, with a partner or as a group.
We have been able to use this wonderful to increase student reading fluency, to practice good reading habits and as a reward for working hard in class. We have used it to read a book as a group to talk about and model good reading habits and comprehension skills. We use the center as a way for one of my students who is a non-reader to participate in silent reading and also as a calm down tool for that same student.
This center helped boost my students' learning by helping them improve their reading habits, skills and comprehension. It also helps motivate them to work hard so they may get a book and listen to it.”
