  • Technology Groups

    Funded Jun 7, 2013

My students were ecstatic to receive two more kindles. They wait patiently to use what we already had, but knowing that having more will give them more learning opportunities through the use of technology had them jumping of joy. These kindles were incorporated with two other sets to form technology group. Instead of sharing tablets, now we have 6 students individually practicing or enriching language art or mathematics skills. This group allows me to give my students independent work time, so that I can work with small groups and differentiate instruction. Thank you so much.”

  • Independent Learners

    Funded Jun 7, 2013

Thank you so much for helping my students become independent learners. When my students received the items, they were excited and couldn't wait for me to the open the surprises. The question of the day chart has allowed my students to practice graphing daily and has given them an opportunity to state their opinions for their selected options. This is specially important for my ELD learners because it gives them an opportunity to discuss familiar topics. The carry-all and the paint cups has helped my students to keep the classroom looking clean and organized. This helps manage the classroom smoothly because everything is in it's place and there's no complaining that certain items can't be found. The word building boards are an amazing way to practice their blending and decoding skills. They challenge themselves to spell more than just consonant vowel consonant words. They absolutely love it. These items have helped me give my students more differentiated instruction. While they are performing independent work, I pull out groups to teach specific needs.”

  • Interactive Magic

    Funded Oct 26, 2012

My students and I are extremely grateful with your generosity. My students are absolutely delighted with the use of the kindles. They are very engaged, attentive, and the best part of all, they are learning. The kindles have serve to support my lessons and my students have shown great growth in the areas of math and language arts in both Spanish and English. In the process, they have also learn how to multitask, how to share with their partners, and how to be patience while waiting their turn to use the kindles. I absolute love them. Thanks again!”

We are a new school and lack many resources, but my students are fortunate to have encounter such amazing and giving people. My students are currently using the kindles during center time to enhance and enrich language arts and mathematics. Their faces light up every time it is their turn to use the kindles. • Involve Me and I'll Understand!!

    Funded Feb 6, 2012

Thank you so much for this wonderful donation. My English Language Learners absolutely love learning through the use of the projector. I am able to project visual images to match spoken words to help them understand the information that is being presented and no more puzzled faces wondering what I am talking about. I am able to enhance my lessons by projecting and enlarging everything and making materials more accessible. They can interact with the material projected and they feel involved leading to greater understanding. Again, thank you so much!”
