Students, Students, What Do You See?
Funded May 14, 2021Thank you all for your generosity and interest in my students. Their education and school experience has always been of the utmost importance to me, and now, I feel that you understand this perspective. Your donation has definitely improve our technological needs in my classroom. The iPad we received has been put to good use during our daily routine.
It is fantastic to know that we can project our ideas on our classroom iPad. This allows us to share our ideas with the rest of the class from the comfort of our seats as we practice social distance in our classroom. We connected the iPad to our classroom projector and can see and share what we are working on with the swipe of a google slide, word document, or simply pictures we discovered on line we found interesting to use during our ELD instruction block. The iPad is light and small enough for it not to over take our already cluttered desks.
My students have definitely shown interest in being able to search and share on the big screen their interests. When they are selected to share, they do so with a lot of pride, because, not only are they sharing their own ideas, but they get to have a discussion afterwards with their classmates about what they think and how they feel about what they have shared. Thank you again for allowing me to share this love of learning with my students.”

Funded Oct 20, 2020Thank you so much for helping my students express their ideas in writing. Their double sided white boards have allowed them to practice their upper and lower case letters on one side, but, also, write and draw their thinking on the other side. Their different colored markers have also allowed them to add detail to their drawings.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated by both my students as well as myself. All these items have helped my little learners express their love of learning through writing and drawing. Once again, you've made a great impact in my students' learning journey.”

Funded Sep 21, 2020Once again, thank you for your assistance in helping my students get a clearer sound while learning from home. It has been a difficult and challenging time for all of us, especially the children. They have struggled to be able to clearly hear what is going on in class because of the distractions around them.
Though not all my students have received their headphones yet because of the school closures, the ones that have, have been grateful for them. They are happy to be able to have their own set of headphones with a microphone to not only be able to hear instructions, but, also, be able to be clearly heard.
Thanks to your generosity, focus has improved as well as participation.”

Funded May 20, 2020First of all, I would like to take this moment to thank you all for your generosity. Distance teaching as well as learning has been difficult (more some days than others). Knowing that we can have our materials needed on hand has made it a little less stressful for all. Though we can not be physically together, my students have been resilient in leaning to the best of their abilities, while using the lap desks to contribute to our learning by allowing us to have materials with us at all times.
My students were very excited to receive their materials! Many of them already had an idea what they were going to store in their lap desks. They now have the ability maintain their materials with them.
From this point on, we will continue to make the best of the distant situation as we enhance our learning on our daily basis. Your generosity is much appreciated.”
