Getting in the Zone
Funded Dec 20, 2018Thank you so much for providing the headphones. It has made such a huge impact on our learning. I teach at a school which implements a self directed learning model. Majority of the time I am pulling small groups while students are transitioning through stations directing their own learning.
Before receiving the headphones, student had their computers on very low volume settings. This helped to minimize distractions from students who were on different levels and lessons. For instance, one student may be learning how to add on I-ready while another may be working on multiplication. With the use of headphones my students are able to fully engage with the platform with minimal distractions even from the peer seated next to them. This has also been specifically beneficial for my students experiencing language barriers.”

Funded May 18, 2016Thank you so much for all of these shirts. I cannot begin to explain how deeply impacted our students are! This year uniforms changed and a lot of students were not able to have the proper uniforms. They were extremely excited when they received these new shirts. Parents were equally excited. Everyday when students come in they are now in a uniform. This creates an environment where students are able to be fully engaged and comfortable learning.
As a basecamp school, we have just introduced the PLP to our students. They are extremely excited to embark on the journey in becoming college and career ready. As I watch them all on their tablets engaging in self directed learning, all in uniform, I know that they will accomplish great things. Thank you a ton!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Thomas
