• Hungry Brains Can't Learn

  Thank you so much for providing us with SO MANY SNACKS! The boxes just kept coming and the kids were soo excited! We have been able to provide all 29 kids snack daily, thanks to you! Hopefully these snacks will last another month or two! We take a snack break in the afternoon, and kids look forward to this break between math and reading. These snacks also provide alternatives to free breakfast and lunch when a kid doesn't like the option provided. Thank you for making so many kids smile every day!”

• Headphones for Quality Work

  Thank you so much for donating to our headphone project! It has been so nice to start the year with working, high quality headphones! We work on computers for 2 30-minute blocks of the day and during this time, we help students in small groups who are struggling in math or reading. Thanks to the working headphones, we (both teachers) are not interrupted but sounds coming from the computers or students telling us their headphones aren't working. Students on computers are able to focus on their research based programs in math and reading and grow their brains independently! Thank you so much!!”

• School Supplies to Start Strong!

  I am so sorry this thank you letter is getting to you late! We have been so busy growing our brains and using the materials you donated to us! It was amazing to start the year in a way that we could give every kid a box of crayons, we had sharpened pencils, markers, dry erase markers for solving math problems, and scissors and erasers for every kid! We were able to start the year in way that we did not have to stress or spend our own money on these materials, which is such a game changer! We really appreciate you!”

• Incentives to Keep Us Motivated!

  Thank you so much for donating to this project! We were able to get so many fun items to fill the end of the year with joy, thanks to you! We had a slime party, we had prizes, and even have some left to start the 23-24 year strong. Thanks to donors like you, students were so excited for what they could earn each day as we did our 10 day count down to the end of school. We also got snacks from the project which were used daily to make sure no students were hungry throughout the day. We appreciate you!!”

• Healthy Snacks and Incentives

  Funded Feb 8, 2023

  Thank you so much for providing us with snacks and incentives. Students earn Jolly Ranchers or Starburst when they get a new lesson on Zearn (a math program on the computer) or Lexia (a reading program on the computer). This week there are students who got 12-14 levels and that is a record. These new incentives are really motivating our class. Also, we get to provide snack everyday with more snacks saved to get us through the end of the year. It gets expensive to feed 29 kids everyday, but thanks to you we don't have to worry about that for a while! Thank you for providing daily snack to every kid and incentives to motivate students!”

• Headphones for Lexia and Zearn

  Thank you so so much for donating to get us headphones! The headphones are so cool, stylish, and high quality!! We are so impressed. The kids had so much fun picking a color of their new headphones.

  We are excited to take care of our headphones and use them for at least an hour everyday. These headphones look like they are really high quality and our issue of broken headphones is hopefully long gone. Kids use these headphones on research based programs to improve their reading and math.

• Comfy Seats to Read and Learn

  Thank you so much for our new fancy chairs! The kids ask me everyday, "Who gets to sit in the comfy seats?!" The students who are working the hardest and have the most merits get comfy seats. These chairs help motivate students to work hard and achieve their goals. They are super comfy and fold up nicely for our small classroom. We want to thank you from the bottom of our heart for the awesome new chairs. It allows us to have something to work for and encourages everyone else I try to earn a lot of merits so that they can get these comfy seats for the day!”

• Hungry Brains Can’t Learn (Round 2)

  Thank you so so much for providing us with snacks!! We have 29 kids in our class and it gets very expensive to provide snacks daily. With your help, we will be able to provide snacks through Christmas Break. The kids are so happy to have their afternoon snack break, and since you were so generous, they have plenty of snacks to choose from daily. With these snacks, kids can focus on their work and not their hunger. They know they have a snack and a break in the afternoon which allows them to focus more on their work. On the last two tests we took we had 80% mastery. These snacks help us to work hard and engage in our work! We are so thankful!”

• Keep Us Warm This Fall/Winter

  Thank you so much for our professional new sweaters!! The students have been using them daily to keep them warm in class! Every morning they come in and can't wait to visit the "closet" to borrow a new sweater. Thank you so much for donating to this project and keeping our students warm.   Thank you so much for donating to our snack project! Our students have been so excited to have a snack provided everyday. Because of your generosity, everyday students are able to pick a snack that they love and enjoy! We got sooo many snacks. This will hopefully last us through Fall Break! Stay tuned for Hungry Brains Can't Learn Part 2 when we run out! It is so important to provide children with snacks so that their basic needs are met. When our basic needs are met, we are able to focus and grow our brains so that we are ready for third grade!”
