• Healthy Hydration 2022!

  My class was excited to know that they will have their own personal water bottle.Students seem very interested in increasing their water intake. These colorful water bottles are perfect!

• Reading, Remembering, and Respecting Ruby!

  Thank you very much for your generous donations.

  Students learn a variety of skills and lessons that are introduced by these new texts.

  Students used prediction skills,learned new vocabulary terms,made inferences,and practiced reading aloud. Students read to one another as partner readers,and they responded to the texts orally and through written and visual responses.

  Reading in my classroom is structured with large and small group instruction. I integrate primary sources and a variety of books to engage my students in the world around them.Students have time to explore a variety of books through independent reading/free book choice time.

  I know that my students are fascinated by the life and story of Ruby Bridges. I was happy to share the books about Ruby with our school community! I noticed that a kindergarten classroom studied Ruby Bridges and created their classroom door decor based on her for Black History Month. That was very exciting to see!”

• Healthy Hydration!

  Students are using their water bottles and stickers daily. Every morning, students refill their water bottles. Each week students earn and choose stickers from the resource list to decorate their containers. This encourages students to have positive behavior throughout the week.

  Students were very excited when the water bottles and stickers arrived! They enjoyed the wide variety of sticker choices to personalize their bottles.

  Students will begin a Winter celebrations unit of study next week. Each student will select a country to research. Using technology and integrated learning, each child will share what they have learned with their peers via a posterboard. This project will hone speaking and listening skills.​

  This project has helped our class increase their awareness of healthy habits,routines and procedures.

  Reading in my classroom includes a variety of materials. Students have books,magazines and digital options to use as they explore!

  The resources provided in this project have provided a variety of information that students used to learn about current developments during the pandemic. Students enjoyed reading about current events as well as seeing updated charts,graphs,etc.

• Exciting Learning Adventures with Helpful Headphones!

  Your generous donation has supported my students in many ways!

  Students who needed headphones are now able to interact with their peers in our virtual environment.

  My students are able to participate in online instruction with quality resources.The heaphones are durable and they provide for a quality virtual educational experience while reducing interference and distractions.

  It is heartwarming to see students connect with one another virtually. Listening to stories,music and engaging in virtual academic activities have all been such a positive experience.

• Students in Grade 2 Honor the Red,White and Blue!

  Funded Dec 10, 2018

  This project has empowered my students to learn about careers,veterans and the U.S in a variety of ways. Students have enjoyed playing games,challenging themselves and others with manipulatives,puzzle,books,etc.

  Students have also demonstrated an increase in their social skills as a result of this project. I have noticed that there has been an increase in sharing,taking turns and other appropriate communication skills. This has been a definite bonus!

  This project has also helped our class brainstorm ways that we can be active in the community. I plan to involve this specific group of students next year when we create thank you cards for U.S veterans on their honor flights to Washington D.C.

• Cupid Canine Collection!

  My class has learned a great deal as a result of your donations. Students have learned about careers and resources that are used.

  When our boxes first arrived, students were very curious. I waited for the perfect time for the "reveal". We all were so excited to see the variety of the materials. Photo career cards,career puzzles and two Pet Vet kits were wonderful! The quality of the items are sturdy and comfortable for second grade hands.

  I gave students time to explore each set of resources. I had students move through stations to experience each different resource. The Pet Vet kits were a HUGE success! Each kit had a stuffed puppy, stickers,a stethoscope etc.
