Funded Sep 30, 2015We would like to describe the impact you have contributed to in our classroom and our program. We feel very lucky to have the technology we have in our school. We house four awesome desktop computers in our classroom that serve its purpose. After having our first dual language group last year, we saw first hand how limited our students were to having a desk top. Yes limited!!! It is odd to say that, but given the new way of learning, having a desktop created limitations in our students for opportunities to interact and showcase what they discovered right there and then.
Since getting the support from you all for these amazing i-pads, it has not only increased the students' love for learning but it has allowed more opportunities for interaction and collaboration on the spot. Students can answer questions immediately while in groups and leave no question unanswered. The students now are highly engaged in accountable talk in both the English and Spanish setting. It lends itself to conversations, debate, healthy discussion that broadens their minds and leaves for more investigation. The students are so excited to have choice when learning. They drive their own learning and encourage others to do the same.
Those students that were usually the quiet ones, are now taking leadership roles in groups. They feel good about taking on a task of looking for information and sharing their findings. They are heard and all of them have a voice. More importantly, they all hold responsibilities. While some research, others note take, while others question and seek for more questioning. It is beautiful to see how your token has created a positive environment for learning. Of course our students still use the desktops to access A.R. and I-ready but the small i-pads is what has made our children the collaborating student. We thank you again for your contribution that has not only created a new insight to learning but has enhanced their little minds a whole lot more this year.”

Funded Oct 10, 2015Your donation has greatly improved our students motivation and enthusiasm when working through the i-pads. Students are more driven to focus on research based learning. They enjoy having learning right at their fingertips. The most exciting part of having the i-pads is the kids having the freedom of when to use and how to use it.
Students feel mature having complete access to information and have a feeling of choice. In addition, our students have seen firsthand the connection between Spanish and English immediately when learning.
All of our students feel confident in using the i-pads. They take ownership in their learning and enjoy sharing with others what they have learned. Thank you for your contribution to our class i-pads.”
