Cubetto Is On Its Way!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you for the wonderful donation to my school. The Cubetto has been a huge success in Kindergarten. The students are learning how to program the Cubetto to find different words that connect to sounds they are given. They are collaborating with their peers to figure out how to move it. When it doesn't go where they want to they are learning to decompose the problem and break it into smaller pieces. It is amazing to watch Kindergarten students learn how to code and when they succeed they light up with enjoyment. Thank you for bringing these into my school.”

Funded Dec 6, 2017Thank you so much for the label maker. You are probably thinking how did the label maker help the students. We have had a lot of students come to our school who do not speak English. I have been making numerous labels for them to help them build their vocabulary. Also, we have put labels on all off the students computers with their names on it so they can be assigned a specific computer. I have noticed the labels have been making a difference in their learning. I had one student who pointed to the label maker machine and than an object and asked if I would put a label on it. Thank you again for your generous donation to my school.
Thank you”

Environmental Awareness
Funded Aug 9, 2017I want to thank you for donating all of the great STEM supplies for my classroom. The students designed environmentally friendly items with all of the great resources that we received. They were actively engaged and excited about their work. Since, that project the students have continued to use the art supplies and Makey Makey to extend their learning on animals and Computer Science. It is because of your wonderful donation that my students were able to extend their learning in an artistic way. Thank You!”

Funded Nov 26, 2017Thank you so much for the donation. Cubetto has been a huge success. The students love coding it. They love reading the book that goes along with it. Friday I took the Cubetto into grades K-2 and did different activities with it. The Kindergarten students were just learning how to move it forward and turn it in one direction. The 1st graders were reading the stories and moving the Cubetto based on the stories. The 2nd graders were learning how to do the function area on the Cubetto. I love watching the students faces when I bring out all of these things. Thank you again for your donation.”

Code Masters
Funded Oct 18, 2017Thank you for donating all of these games. This particular project is going to be taken place during Hour of Code week. We are going to introduce to the students how to play the game. Also, we are going to be doing a CS parent night and we will be bringing out these games for them to play. Currently I have a small group of students that play with the different Computer Science tools that I have. They have fallen in love with this game. It is the number one activity that is requested when they come in. Thank you for your wonderful donation and supporting my Computer Science curriculum.”

Funded Oct 1, 2017Thank you so much for the green screen. I wish I could have shown you the students face the first time they saw the broadcast. They were so confused why some of the students were standing at the Eiffel Tower. Since the first day, we have been to the Statue of Liberty and we have been in the ocean. Thank you so much for this incredible donation. The students I have for broadcast keep sharing places they want to be in. It definitely has added a wonderful layer of excitement to our broadcast. Again, thank you so much for impacting all 300 students.
Thank You,”

Kindergarten Computational Thinking
Funded Nov 1, 2017I am so excited that the Cubetto has come in. When I get new tools for my younger students sometimes I let the bigger students try it out. If possible I let the bigger students work with the younger students to show them how to do it. My bigger students have been having so much fun with it. I can't wait to bring these into the classroom on Friday to see what the Kindergarten students think. I have a feeling they are going to love working with them. I love how easy it is to program. It is very visual for them and they can learn functions at such a young age. Thank you for your amazing donation to my curriculum. I am constantly working on getting Computer Science integrated into the curriculum for grade levels.”

Funded Oct 23, 2017Thank you so much for this wonderful donation. The Bee Bots have been a huge success. The students are learning to do all kinds of programming. They are learning their sounds and numbers through the BeeBots. They are learning to write basic algorithms and create simple programs. The students love when I take out the box of BeeBots for them to code with. Soon I will be bringing them into the first grade classroom so they can learn to code with the Bee Bots. Thank you again for your wonderful and generous donation.”
