  • Dashing into CS

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

They had so much fun using the dash robots. They had them shooting hoops. They programmed them to do different dances and use the data from the dances to create an Excel bar graph. They were so excited to use them. We introduce them to the pre-K students and they love just moving them around the room. The seventh graders taught them how to do TickTock videos. The 3rd graders created graphs with them. Your donation has made a huge impact on an entire school. Thank you so much for your wonderful donation.”

  • Micro:Bit for All

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

My students are loving the Micro:Bit. Due to Covid we were not able to implement them the way I had hope, but this year we are using them and it is making a world of difference. The students are creating Iron Giants and they are learning how to program the Micro:Bits to add effects to their story. They are so excited to be working on this. I can't wait to share pictures of the end products. Thank you for your amazing donation to this project. I know that it has tweaked since the write up because of Covid, but it is making a world of difference now.”

  • Weather Affects Us, but How?

    Funded Dec 11, 2019

I do apologize for not writing sooner. We had a lot of changes in our building when these came in and then the building shut down due to COVID. I was originally going to do the project with the new Science teacher at the end of the 2019 school year. I know that I currently can't share with you my students interactions with these amazing devices. I am still very appreciative to have them. My hope is that when we get back to school I will be able to use these with my students. I did try them out with a few kids just to see how they worked and the kids were so engaged in them. I again want to thank you for your amazing donation. As soon as I can I will be happy to share thank you letters from my students.”

  • Fire Up Dash Robots 2

    Funded Mar 5, 2020

They did get to use this before we were told to stay at home but only once. They loved using the Kindle to control the dash robot. I can't wait to get back to school next year and do more activities with them. Today we did a car parade for our students and the Dash robot was in the window. One student yelled out my name saying she missed playing with it. These robots even though it was a short period of time they got to play with them, made a huge impact on them. Thank you for your wonderful donation. I can't wait for fall to come so I can use these more with my students.”

  • Dashing into the Curriculum

    Funded Feb 14, 2020

Thank you so much. The students have been having such a blast learning with the dash robots. Just the other day we were programming the dash robots to help us with math. The students were programming it to move to different cards and then they were recording the answers to the cards. Today the students were building paths to have the robot go through. Their eyes lit up as they were programming the robots to move and dance and speak. Thank you again for your generous donation to this project. It is because of people like you that my students get the chance to try out these robots.”

  • Fire Up Dash Robots

    Funded Feb 5, 2020

Thank you so much for your amazing donation! We have had so much fun playing with the Dash. If it wasn't for you buying the Kindle to have them work we would not be able to use them at all. The students have been having such a good time learning through the dash. All grade levels have been playing with them. The older students have been learning how to use the slingshot on it. The 2nd graders have been trying to drive it through mazes. The 1st graders and 4th graders have been doing math problems with it. The kindergarten are programming little stories on it. I can't wait to learn more about how to use them in the classroom. The possibilities are endless. I just know that your generous donation is why these students get this opportunity and I am truly thankful to you for giving to my students.”

  • BeeBots Galore!

    Funded Jan 8, 2020

Thank you for the amazing donation. The mats are a huge success. Now we have every 1st grade classroom using Beebots and we are slowly getting the kindergarten classes on board. They have been working on adding and subtracting numbers using the mats. The students have been practicing their spelling words and so much more. The students are so excited when we bring out the robots for them to program. They love learning with them. The students are programming complex patterns and don't even realize it. It is so much fun to watch. Thank you for supporting my classroom. It means the world to myself, the teachers, and all of the students.”

  • Dashing and Charging Away

    Funded Jan 27, 2020

Wow! I have had this for a day and the students are having so much fun programming the Dash to go around their classrooms. They are practicing their reading skills and following the instructions on the kindle. It is amazing to watch. This morning I took it out for the 5th graders to see and they all wanted a turn to program it. They were asking me when I was going to bring it into their classroom. Later that morning I brought it into a first grade class so they could test it out. They were walking around with the kindle fire programming Maddison (our robot) around the room. It is such an engaging tool to help the students to read, but also teach them the foundation skills of Computer Science. This is just the beginning of how they use it in their classroom. I can't wait to give them challenge cards that they can use to program the Dash to go around the room. If it wasn't for your wonderful donation of the Kindle Fire we would never be able to use this in our school. THANK YOU! Thank you for your generous donation to my school!!!”
