Hey Batter Batter, Sports Matter!
Funded Feb 3, 2018Words cannot explain the gratitude I feel for your kind donation. This has ensured our students with the equipment necessary to meet their fitness goals. Fitness is the key to a healthy mind and soul. Your generous donation has provided my students with the opportunity of staying fit and actively exercising. It truly is encouraging to see the same students who disliked the idea of physical education slowly evolve into motivated and self-driven athletes. Their self-esteem has slowly transferred into the classroom.
Thanks to your generous donation, my physical education instruction is now allowing my students to learn rules for various games and regulations, building friendships, conditioning their bodies, learning sportsmanship, and most importantly staying active and enjoying it!
Thank you for your support and belief in us. We cannot wait to post pictures!”

Funded Sep 26, 2017The amount of support that you have provided for my students time and time again has been astounding. We are so thankful for your support. Because of your donation, we were able to make shirts for colleges that we were striving to attend. This year our focus is #gotgrit. GRIT stands Growth Requires Initiative and Tenacity. We know that if we want better for ourselves we have to do better. We know that if we want to go to college, the only one in our way if we don't get there. Our donation is the exact motivator that our students needed! Thank you!”

Funded Sep 7, 2017Thank you for equipping our classroom with the tools to battle the worse flu season in history. By your selecting to support our classroom, we were gifted with Lysol wipes that we used every single week to ensure that students had clean table and chairs to study on. The fragrant soap provided an incentive for our students to want to wash their hands thoroughly with more than water, and the after school snacks came in handy for the kids who needed an extra boost after school to reboot after the long day. We know you have many choices and thank you for choosing us.”

Free Your Mind and Be Color Blind
Funded Aug 8, 2017You cannot imagine how excited the students were to be able to get their hands on the iPad to do their research and create their projects for presentation. Knowing that we had only what we had, the students waited very patiently for their turn. My goal is to get enough electronic devices so that it's a one-to-one ratio for all the students in my class. We know that it's not the devices that makes the students successful, but how it is utilize. It was great to show the kids and let them experience the power of technology that did not involve Minecraft. Thank you donors for making this possible!"”

Funded Dec 20, 2016Because of you and your concerted efforts, my students were able to visit the Griffith Observatory. Field trips are such an integral part of our learning. To simply learn via books and videos is simply not enough for our 21st century children. It was a perfect day for our excursion. One student exclaimed, "I've only seen the Hollywood sign on TV and now it's actually here! I can see it for real! It's right here!" A group of students was so engrossed with their hands-on experience that they couldn't hear when I was rounding up the troop to return to school. Back on campus my students excitedly asked if they could have an astronomy night to look at the stars and see if they could identify which is which. It's such a reward to see that sparkle in the children's eyes.”
