  • Pencil Sharpeners for Art Class

    Funded Aug 3, 2021

Thank you for your generous donation to our art room. A good pencil sharpener is a necessity because with 260 students we go through so many pencils and colored pencils daily. Being able to sharpen quickly between classes will be a time saver. They heavy duty pencil sharpeners will be perfect for sharpening the colored pencils that often gum up a regular sharpener. Thank you again. These little things will make a huge impact.”

  • Classroom Basics of Tissues and Bouncy Bands Student Wellness

    Funded Jul 30, 2021

Thank you so much for you support! I was so excited when I was notified that my project was funded. I cannot wait to set my classroom up this year with the chair bouncy bands and Kleenex boxes in my room. They are going to be a game changer! Again thank you so much!”

  • Chalk Pens for Details on Fun Art Surfaces

    Funded Mar 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your support that helped bring this project to life! I was so excited to add these chalk pens to my art classroom so my students could add finishing touches and layered details to their pieces. These pens allow that to happen without adding extra layers of paint that can become a thick, muddled mess.

The kids were so excited to use them to add those details with much more ease. Some of the projects these chalk pens were used in was an underwater watercolor painting. The kids art came out so amazing! The chalk pens added the finishing touches that really made their paintings come to life. These chalk pens made the last few weeks of art that much more fun!

Thank you so much for your support, without you, this project would not have been possible.”

  • K-1st Grade Replacement Sketch Pads for Remote Art Class

    Funded Feb 20, 2021

I want to start by thanking you for your generous donations that made this project come to life! I wouldn't be able to give my first and second graders replacement sketch pads so we can continue to do remote art.

When the boxes arrived, I was so thrilled because I immediately started sorting and organizing for the next supply pick up for all of my students, and this meant that I was able to put these sketch pads into the Kindergarten and First graders supply bags. They love being able to keep all of their art in one space, especially since they are at home, it makes clean up and organizing that much easier for them and their families.

Thank you again for your amazing support. You are amazing!”

  • Markers, Construction Paper, and Sketch Pads for Remote Art Class

    Funded Mar 4, 2021

Your incredibly generous donations made this project possible - thank you.

I am so excited that I will be able to add markers, colored construction paper, and sketch pads to my students supply pick up bags. We have been working so hard creating our art projects this year and the supplies are definitely dwindling in their homes, so being able to replenish and replace them makes me so thankful. It is always fun when the students get to incorporate different art mediums into one piece. For example, they create a piece using markers and water effects on their sketch pad paper, then add construction paper components on top. Their finished pieces are awe-inspiring and they feel so proud of themselves. I am so proud of all of their hard work too!

Thank you again for your amazing support!”

  • Replacement Art Pads for 2nd-3rd Graders for Remote Art

    Funded Mar 4, 2021

Thank you so much! This project would not have been possible without your amazing support.

These sketch pads for my second and third graders will replace the ones that are filled with their amazing art this year that we have done while remote learning, and continue to do moving forward until we can be back in the classroom. Having one place to keep all their work definitely makes storage in their homes simpler but it also cuts down on the time taken to find their supplies, which ultimately means we have more time to create and work on art projects. I cannot wait to see their faces when I help hand out their supply bags with these replacement sketch pads inside.”

  • Colored Construction Paper for Artistic Creations

    Funded Jan 17, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous support! I felt so thankful that I will be able to send all of my students in Kindergarten through 4th grade their own colored construction paper to use in our daily remote art classes for our projects.

When the boxes arrived I was so thrilled as it was perfect timing! We were organizing supplies for our students to pick up to use at home to continue remote learning. Being able to add a variety of colored construction paper to use for art class to their classroom material bags felt so wonderful.

One of the projects we utilized the construction paper for was after our study of Piet Mondrian and his abstract art using shapes and primary colors. Another project was after our study of Alma Woodsey Thomas and her abstract art that was characterized by broad, mosaic-like patches of vibrant color in either concentric circles or vertical stripes. The kids loved getting to use a different art medium to create their art and it shows in their finished art pieces. Their art came out amazing!

Thank you so much for your support!”

  • Oil Pastels for 3rd and 4th Grade Remote Learning Artists

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

I cannot begin to tell you how thankful and blessed I feel for your generous donation that made this project come to life. When I was notified that the project was funded I couldn't wait to tell the students they would be getting these amazing art supplies in our next supply pick up that's happening very soon. The kids were so excited! I was so concerned about being able to do my yearly after break activities that use oil pastels with the older students at my school - every year they always look forward to using them and creating their amazing art pieces. This year is no exception and being able to give them their own set of 16 colors is even better.

I was so excited when the box arrived at my school and I started sorting them by grade and classroom teacher (as you can see in some of my photos), to make packing them up for each supply bag that much easier. I couldn't wait to see all of their amazing art once they are completed using these oil pastels.

Thank you so much again for you support!”

  • Watercolor Paints for Kindergarteners Remote Art Classes

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

When the very large box arrived with all of the watercolor paint sets in them I couldn't wait to get them into the hands of my Kindergarten art students. Your generous donation made it all possible, thank you so much. We were able to get them into the supply bags for the supply pick up and my students were able to begin using them the next day for art class.

I know that they love their brand new paints as the smiles on their faces was priceless! And their art continues to be absolutely amazing. I love getting to see each and every completed piece by all of my students. I am also very thankful I now have more sketch pads I can use to model the steps my students will take to complete their art piece every day, in every art class I teach, as I go through many pages each day.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Art Supplies for First & Second Grade Remote Art Class

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

Thank you so much for your support of my project. I feel so blessed that my first and second graders will have the needed tools to continue our work remotely this fall. The students have already made some amazing art pieces and these markers will allow them to make even more, using a different medium for the final product. It is so hard to find decent round brushes for the students to use, as many of the brushes that come in paint sets are not the best quality but these Royal and Langnickel Round Taklon brushes will allow all of my students to have a brush that will allow their inner artist to flourish.

When I opened the boxes, I was so excited and couldn't wait to get these supplies into the hands of my students. I know when we were in my class a new package of anything was coveted -- who doesn't love a box of new markers or crayons that no one has touched or used yet? The students will be so happy to have their own set of markers to use at home.

Thank you again for you wonderful support of my amazing first and second grade art students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Quinn

Each year, the Art Supplies budget gets tighter and tighter. I have the opportunity to work with each class for two-week blocks. This unique schedule allows us to work on multiple projects and complete them in a given window of time. These paints, pastels, and chalk will be used in a variety of incredibly engaging art projects. Students will study a plethora of artists in this unit and will create pieces inspired by Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, and Sandra Silberzweig. Not only will these supplies inspire their creativity, but it allows the opportunity to share these works of art with the community at large.
