If each student has their own copy of the book "Wonder," they will be able to participate in whole group and small group discussions, engaging activities, and learn important reading strategies. I will also be able to use these books with my future classes, in order to pass on the message of how you should always treat others with kindness! “You can't blend in when you were born to stand out." -Raquel Jamillo Palacio, Wonder. My students will be able to utilize their comprehension skills to apply this lesson to their everyday lives. My students will learn the following themes throughout reading this book: perseverance, friendship, family, courage, and the importance of always being yourself! I hope this novel study will allow my students to gain a love for reading and the encouragement to make a positive change within our world.
