Creative Memories
Funded Aug 3, 2023Thank you so much for helping our classroom with this project. We were able to design class shirts for our field trip and for our end of year activities. The students were so excited and continue to wear their shirts even into the next grade level. during our field trip our students showcased our class shirts and we received so many compliments. Our shirt logo read: In my 4th grade era! Students were able to see the process of shirt making. From the design, cutting the vinyl, and using the heat press to place design on the shirts. Making 50 plus shirts was also efficient because of the heat press. So thank you so much!!!”

Funded Dec 15, 2022My scholars are thrilled with the addition of the items from this project. We have added 2 benches as flexible seating options. Students love to share these with a buddy as they work on they learning challenges throughout the day. The new books are also perfect for the middle of the year, because they reinforce have GRIT and a growth mindset. MY scholars have really come to understand the value of hard work and perseverance. Having these fun books helps to remind them of the expectations throughout our LONG year in 4th grade.
As a teacher, am I glad I was able to get toner, pens, and markers. We needed the extra ink to help prepare for all the engagement transformations for the rest of the school year. We have had a Super Bowl, March Madness, Camping, and Boot Camp classroom transformations. Having the ink has allowed the eae of printing the necessary learning tools to make learning fun and authentically engaging.
Thank you so much to everyone that has helped add these items to our classroom.”

Flexible Organization
Funded May 19, 2022Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. Each year I have been on a mission to make all seats more kid friendly. Seating options are expensive, so I am so humbled by your donations to help me achieve this goal. My students love to wobble in their chairs and these new seating options allow them to do that without breaking or damaging traditional seating options. This project also allowed me to get bins in order to organize ALL the things. We do not have a closet, so we have to organize our things in the pod as best we can. I love to do transformations and fun themed days, but needed somewhere to neatly organize all of the materials. I have labeled and stacked everything up and out of the way for easy access.”

Funded Sep 17, 2021So thankful for all of the support for teachers and students during these times. This year has proven harder than ever as we all struggle to get back to some kind of normalcy. However, with the constant stress of unrealistic expectations- it definitely takes a toll on all of our lives. Thank you to DonorsChoose and all who support education on this site to help students receive fun and engaging lessons. Kids deserve more and I am grateful to all who support my classroom through these projects! Forever grateful🥰”

Virtual Hands-On Fun
Funded Feb 4, 2021Teaching online AND face to face is hard and exhausting! There were aspects of online learning that loved but there was way too much prep work involved. My days were not long enough to effectively plan for both methods of instruction without becoming extremely overwhelmed.
I am so grateful for this donors choose project that helped fund some items that made o line learning a little easier. Items like a wireless headphone and a computer microphone. I really enjoyed being able to teach both classes at the same time with my wireless headphones. And I was also to make high quality videos with the microphone, that allowed students with access to videos to help with instruction.”

Music and Books Galore
Funded Feb 25, 2021This project added more amazing books to my classroom. I love collaborating with educators through social media and then using Donors Choose to add new and amazing books to my classroom. This project also helps find the ink for my personal computer I use in my classroom for special print projects. I am also building a class set of merge cubes. I am almost to my goal but each donors choose is helping to meet that goal. I am as always super grateful for everyone who helps fund classrooms. I spend way too much of my own money but I do for my students. I appreciate people and businesses who support educators and my future works changers.”

Funded Mar 31, 2021Another great project! This project adds books on diversity. This will give my students an opportunity to read books about themselves and experience the culture and perspective from others unlike themselves. I was also blessed to add the cords necessary to link my iPhone or iPad to our Big smart TVs in the classroom. This gives me the opportunity to use apps otherwise unavailable. I was able to use these items to end the last school year with both online and face to face students. Now I am able to continue to use them with a whole new set of 4th grade students.”

4th grade LetsGlow
Funded May 13, 2021This project allowed us to to have an amazing glowing 4th grade celebration for our online and face to face students. Our classroom was transformed into a glow in the dark wonderland. We awarded students and allowed them to celebrate with glow in the dark games.
Both classes were in awe and had a great time. We were even able to have parents join in virtually by using Zoom. We are so thankful that we were able to finish off this school year with a glow day. We are also excited to have these resources to use with students in years to come!”

Funded Jan 21, 2021This project was such a blessing. The materials were used to set the stage for Rock Your School Week. Rock Your School is a national event where teachers think outside the box to engage students.
So this year my team mate and I went all out and transformed our hallway and our classroom into the circus from the Greatest Showman. Students were in awe. We used backdrop and made several other decorations to really set the stage to engage. Each stay students were presented with activities that tied into the standards but were in some way, shape or form related to the circus.
I printed and made posters that helped deliver the positive messages from the movie. For example, "This is me". Students were able to listen to the music and reflect. they completed projects where they had the opportunity to share what makes them special. Most importantly we wanted students to know that they one of a kind and they should be proud of who they are.
Forever grateful to the donors and this platform that help teachers make learning engaging and fun and give us the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime with all of the resources we are able to attain.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020Much appreciation to donors choose and the friends and family who help support my projects. My students have benefited from having their own stylus for their computers and for leading the class on the smart tv. I enjoy reading books that help me to become a better teacher. And I absolutely love my new laminator to make projects and activities that benefit the learning of my students.
My students have not let this pandemic stop their curiosity or their imagination. Yes, we have to get creative at times, but with the help of donors choose we are able to provide students with experiences that go beyond my personal expenses.”
