  • 2, 4, 6, 8, Kinder Math Is Really Great!

    Funded Feb 24, 2025

This is so exciting! These materials are going to enable our class to have engaging and educational math centers. Creating activities that are both fun and cover the kindergarten standards is very challenging. Having something that is already made and as fun to engage with as these Lakeshore centers is going to allow students to be independent during math time.

Thank you for taking the time to make a big difference in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • Bright Minds! Bright Colors!

    Funded Aug 31, 2024

The ability to print resources as needed for my students is invaluable to me! I have been able to create visual schedules, communication tools, behavior prompts and social stories that are eye catching and engaging without worrying about having enough paper, ink or if the printer is already in use.

The students are learning to transition throughout the classroom using brightly colored icons. I've been able to create name tags and print their photos so they can find their seats, cubbies and check in upon arriving at school each morning. The printed communication tools are helping students use their words to advocate for themselves and get their needs met at school which is resulting in fewer behavioral issues.

I simply can't thank you all enough for your generosity. It has made a very big difference in our classroom's daily activities!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • Outdoor Learning, Fresh Air and Fresh Ideas!

    Funded Sep 18, 2023

Our students have already put our new tables to good use. They are building with blocks, completing art projects and practicing their fine motor skills.

These tables have provided another way to access our outdoor space. They also provide an alternative activity for students who may need a break from the playground or need a quieter activity.

It is getting colder so the umbrellas are put away for now. When the weather warms up again and we can bring out the umbrellas our team looks forward to offering students a place to cool off in the shade. Outdoor learning time is so important and being able to offer a diverse array of activities keeps kids engaged and learning while outside.

It's made a difference in how our outdoor learning time looks already, I can't wait to see what activities the team comes up with next.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • What's Cooking in Preschool?

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you for your support with this project. A dynamic dramatic play area is a vital part of any early learning or preschool curriculum. Play is part of language building and speech and dramatic play in a fun interactive kitchen is vital to communication development.

Since adding our new kitchen I have observed an increase in language, dramatic interactive play and social interaction between kids. In a classroom with severe special needs and autism an increase in collaborative play and social interaction is a major victory indeed.

This kitchen has truly added a new level of fun and learning to our room and we are so pleased to see our students enjoying it!”

  • Learning: In Living Color!

    Funded Sep 20, 2021

Thank you again for you help with acquiring a color printer. Being able to produce resources quickly has made a huge impact on my students.

These visuals allow otherwise non verbal students to communicate and interact with lessons. Having them in color makes them inviting and fun to use as well as being a necessary learning tool.

Every day during our morning circle the students look for and find their own picture. Having them suddenly in color has been a huge hit, complete with big BIG smiles.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • Z is for Zoo!

    Funded Dec 20, 2019

The students so enjoyed our virtual zoo experience! They got to meet Hercamer the Desert Tortoise, Ariel the Albino European Hedgehog, Squirrel the Snake, a Whistling Duck and Julia the parrot. Julia was the favorite by far.

Zoom can be a hard way to learn and hard type of learning to get excited about. It was so uplifting to be able to see the students engaged and paying attention for so long! Even the friends who had trouble getting unmuted had their eyes glued to the screen.

We had a lot of fun painting pictures of Julia after the field trip. I will attach those later. Your contribution helped to bring a bright spot of joy to a rather dark and trying school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • Love it, Lock it up and Learn from it!

    Funded Mar 21, 2020

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your generosity. This shed will make such a difference in how we utilize our outside learning spaces. I can't wait for schools to reopen so I can organize and prepare for a great year of hands on learning. Your donation will make all the difference.”

    With gratitude,

  • A Place to Chill

    Funded Feb 7, 2019

Thank you so much for helping our class by getting our new classroom Sofa! The students love to take breaks in the library and play house using the new furniture. The unveiling of the new sofa was the highlight of my week. I tried to get some great photos of their faces when the box was opened. They were so excited.

Our classroom provides a lot of resources that many students aren't getting at home. Our next project will be to get dishes and cereal so that we can provide breakfast to them. Learning on a full tummy is way more fun.

Thank you again for your time, money and interest in our classroom. A little support makes all the difference.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici

  • 1, 2, 3, It's Preschool Math for Me!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

My students and I have so enjoyed using the math materials purchased for us!

The stories have been a huge hit with the students. Having the blocks available to provide a visual has been especially helpful when learning to answer questions like "how tall is it?" and "Which one is taller?". Students who weren't sure before could answer successfully when we used the blocks to measure items first.

There is an added fine motor aspect to these blocks as well. They have provided a fun activity that also strengthens finger muscles. Pulling the blocks apart and snapping them together while counting is a great pre-writing activity as it build muscles needed for writing and using scissors.

But also, they are just really fun to stack!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Quillici
