  • Brrr, It's Cold, but I'm Warm!

    Funded Dec 11, 2024

First of all, I want to thank you for helping to fund this project. My students and I are so grateful that you decided to help bring these items to our classroom. Due to a shortage of items, the items in this project had to be replaced with other items that the classroom needed. When the all the boxes arrived, the students were extremely excited because of the amount of boxes that were being delivered each and every day. They couldn't believe that the classroom was getting all these new resources to use each and every day.

When the resources arrived, the students were just beginning to review and prepare for the Georgia Milestones, which is their state test. The pocket folders the classroom recieved was a huge help for their state test review. The students used the folders to store all of their ELA and Social Studies study guides and resources they needed in order to review and study for the Milestones. In addtion, the staplers were a great addition to the classroom because the students could staple their resources together to put in their pocket folders. The students even had fun using the answer buzzers when they played review games for the state test. Even in their free time, the students enjoyed asking the word teasers and answering them as they challenged their peers. Lets not forget the snacks that were added to the classroom. When students' energy got low, I was able to provide snacks and water for the students. When my students did not have a pencil to write with, I was able to provide them one, which is always a great thing.

Again, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to this project! These resources have been such a great help to my students in the classroom and will definitely help them be successful this year. My students and I are just so grateful for what you all have done for us.”

  • Game Time Review in Social Studies and ELA

    Funded Nov 18, 2024

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to donate to this wonderful project for my classroom. The students were so excited to see the games come into the classroom. Many of them actually wanted to play them right away! They love the idea of actually having a gaming corner in the classroom that they can utilize when they earn freee time for a brain break. In addition, the games have helped the students with thier socializing skills as well.

In the classroom, I have used the games to review various concepts in the classroom. The Jenga games were colored and used to review for the upcoming state assessment. The students had to answer a question before moving a piece on the Jenga board. If they got a question wrong, they would have to move a red piece. If they got a question correct, they would have to move a green piece. When the board fell, then that team or person loses the game. Other games such as Scrabble have been used to help students increase thier vocabulary by creating words on the board. The game of Checkers help my students think critically as they have to decide the best move to make in order to win the game.

Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for helping to bring these games to my classroom. These games will help my students become better students academically and socially. You all are ROCKSTARS!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

  • I Need to See My Work and Hear My Work!

    Funded Feb 5, 2025

First of all, I want to thank you for helping to fund this project for my classroom. My students and I are extremely grateful for you helping to provide our classroom with headphones and highlighters. These supplies will be a huge help when it comes to assignments in the classroom because many of my students require the texts to be read to them, so the headphones will help with that. In addition, many of my students need help finding textual evidence, so the highlighters will help those learners. Again, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to bring these supplies into my classroom.”

  • "Rolling to Reteach and ReWipe in Small Group!"

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

First of all, I want to thank you all for donating this project to support my students and my classroom. These supplies in this project have truly been a blessing during our support class for ELA. The mobile dry erase board has been such a big help during small group. Before having the board, I would have to find ways to show students what to underline or highlight during a reteach lesson. Now with the addition of the mobile dry erase board I can write things down in a bigger space so that students can see it. I even can pin things to the board as well. Even the smaller dry erase boards come in handy when my paraprofessional or co - teacher need something to write on when working with a small group.

The students have really enjoyed having the mobile dry erase board in the classroom. Many of them had never seen one on wheels, and that has really fascinated them. They love that the classroom has this board to help with reteaching in small group, and some even use the smaller boards to help their peers out during small group activities. The dry erase board has helped my students be successful on quizzes when I reassess them after reteaching. Again, I want to thank you so much for adding this mobile dry erase board to my classroom!!”
