  • Access to Technology for a Young Educator

    Funded Jun 9, 2024

I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for considering a donation to support my professional development as a special education teacher. Your generosity in helping provide a laptop and wireless mouse will significantly enhance my ability to plan and grow in my role.

As a teacher, I have limited access to a mobile laptop during school breaks and vacation days since I borrow one from the district. Having my own laptop will allow me to continue working and improving my skills during the summer. I plan to use it to design meaningful and scaffolded lessons, research best teaching practices, and prepare for the school year ahead. One course I am particularly excited about taking is "The Neurobiology of Learning Differences," which will teach me how to use brain-based teaching practices to better differentiate instruction and provide the necessary accommodations for my students.

With this technology, I will be able to become a more organized, knowledgeable, and effective teacher, which will directly benefit the students in my classroom. Your support is helping me grow in ways that will make a lasting impact on my students' learning experience, and for that, I am deeply thankful.

Thank you again for your generosity and belief in my professional growth.”

    With gratitude,

    Mx. J. Mays

  • Student Self-Care and Hygiene Closet

    Funded Oct 3, 2023

I am so grateful for your generosity in supporting my 8th-grade special education students this year. Your thoughtful contributions will make a huge difference in helping them succeed as they navigate their final year of middle school and work on self-regulation.

The snacks you've provided will ensure that students can stay nourished, especially when they miss breakfast or need a boost after recess. The individual drink packets will allow me to offer each student a clean, convenient option while maintaining sanitary practices. The microwave will also be a game-changer, giving my students the ability to warm food or water, especially when they need a comforting cup of tea or soup.

Your donation truly helps create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can focus on learning and self-growth without worrying about basic needs. They love having snacks and healthy drinks available, and your kindness is making this school year start off strong.

Thank you for making such a positive impact on my students' well-being and success.”

    With gratitude,

  • Power Pen Reading Wand

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of the Power Pen to our classroom. Your support is making a significant difference in the lives of my 8th-grade students, especially those with special needs.

The Power Pen has already had a positive impact on student engagement and confidence. It allows them to practice reading and math skills independently, which builds their confidence in a way that feels empowering. My students love using the pen, and it has made independent learning time more engaging, allowing me to work closely with other groups while everyone benefits from personalized practice.

This technology helps our students feel like they truly deserve to learn with materials made specifically for them. The interactive nature of the Power Pen increases focus and motivation, providing an opportunity for each student to succeed at their own pace.

Your donation is helping to create an environment where every student feels supported and capable, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Book Circle for 7th Grade

    Funded May 3, 2023

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation of The Hunger Games and Twilight to our classroom. Your support is truly appreciated, and it will have a lasting impact on my students.

Thanks to your donation, my students will embark on a dystopian journey, analyzing characters, story elements, and thought-provoking themes. These books will help them think critically about the power of a government, the choices characters make, and how their worlds reflect our own. As we dive deep into character development, they will also work on writing book reports that allow them to explore these themes in detail and connect with the material on a personal level.

Your contribution is helping to foster a love for reading and critical thinking that will resonate far beyond these books. I am so grateful for your generosity and for making this learning experience possible for my students.”

  • Anchor Charts

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support. Your donation has made a world of difference in my classroom and is helping my students thrive in ways I couldn't have imagined without your kindness.

As a teacher of 7th-grade students with IEPs and 504 plans at a Title 1 school, I know how essential it is to create an environment that meets the unique needs of each student. Many of my students have ADHD/ADD, and having the right tools is vital for their success. Your donation of multi-sized chart paper is an invaluable resource. It allows us to create visual reminders, which are crucial for reinforcing formulas, key details, and other important content. This not only helps my students stay on track but also makes learning more engaging and accessible in a fun, creative way.

I cannot thank you enough for helping us create a classroom where students feel secure, supported, and excited to learn. Your generosity ensures that every student has the opportunity to succeed, and for that, I am truly grateful.”

  • Supplies, Books, and Organizational Tools

    Funded Dec 9, 2022

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Your support has made a tremendous difference in the lives of my students, and I cannot thank you enough.

Thanks to your contribution, we've been able to provide larger pencils and grips, which are helping ease potential fatigue for some of our students. Additionally, the organizational folders are creating a structured environment where they can easily retrieve and put away their work, promoting a consistent and organized routine.

Most importantly, your donation has allowed us to bring in multiple book sets, which are having a profound impact on our small reading groups. These books contain relevant stories that speak directly to the lives of our BIPOC students with special needs. Not only are the students engaged and excited to read, but many of them are seeing themselves in the characters and making personal connections to the stories.

The new texts are not only enhancing literacy skills but also teaching important lessons about systemic injustice, the power of representation, and the idea that everyone is different and has unique strengths. These lessons are critical in shaping the way our students view the world and themselves. The opportunity to check out books and bring them home is making reading a more meaningful and accessible experience for all of them.

Your kindness and generosity are helping to create an environment where all students feel valued, seen, and empowered. Thank you for supporting our classroom and for believing in the potential of these incredible students.”
