Harvey Survivors Need Mobile Library!
Funded Oct 10, 2017Thank you ever so much for enhancing our classroom by incorporating a digital library. The Kindle readers are a valued resource for having leisure reading available to students when they finish early. Demonstrating that reading can be a dynamic, on-the-go activity has certainly influenced student perceptions on "books" and literacy, for their good!
In the future, I will focus with students on choosing specific texts that interest them, and work to include more academic materials on working with these as a part of our class!
Thank you, again, for contributing to and enhancing my classroom.”

Mr. G
Dynamic Differentiation in Our Global Social Studies!
Funded Sep 30, 2017Thank you ever so much for enhancing my professional development to incorporate menus into my classroom. Even when some classes cannot handle the complete autonomy of independent menu choices, the underlying principles of these resources to focus on student empowerment and individual selection still get included into our lessons to varying degrees.
The outcome of learning from these resources has enhanced by pedagogical approach to continue diversifying and differentiating my instructional strategies to maximize student potential. For example, instead of standard writing exercises students may choose from writing styles, e.g. expository or rhyme, or create a visualization of the reading, or choose to perform a skit on a topic.
In the future, I will focus with students on developing individual projects, which can be used as examples for others to learn and grow from.
Thank you, again, for contributing to and enhancing my classroom.”
With gratitude,
Mr. G
Help Make our World More Colorful!
Funded Sep 28, 2017Thanks to your charitable contributions of classroom supplies my students have been able to complete their mapping and visualization assignments. Being able to express their creativity enhances the learning process immeasurably!
Students are not always prepared for the learning opportunities presented to them. So, having extra colors, pencils, notebooks, and paper facilitates successful learning. While they may often times be slow to recognize and express their appreciation, it is very apparent from their smiling faces that coloring a map or picture is more than work it's an enjoyable experience.
Besides helping students, your assistance in providing supplies offers a respite to myself, as teacher, in having adequate supplies and opportunities for kids. Not having to worry about basic needs and supplies goes a long way in differentiating the learning process for my kiddos.
Thank you for helping to make my students' world more colorful and bountiful due to your largesse and generosity!”
With gratitude,
Mr. G
