• Help X Germs With Kleenex

  Thank you for your generosity. Our students have been through so much during the pandemic that they are now aware of washing their hands, using hand sanitizers, and making sure they use tissues to when coughing and sneezing. In addition, to keeping students healthy your donation aided in clean ups after hands on activities. Little engaging hands needed all of the donated materials to keep a safe and cleanly classroom environment. While on trips we were able to keep everyone safe, healthy, and clean as we had enough supplies to always carry with us. Once again thank you for making a difference.”

• Fraction Time!

  Thank you for your donation! The math manipulatives that were part of the "Fraction Time" project became a vital part of our classroom this school year. Students were able to work independently and in small groups to improve their mathematical skills. Students were always provided with choice of manipulatives when working on math problems thanks to your generous donations. In addition, I was able to use the manipulatives to explicitly model for students how to apply what they learned during the lesson. The manipulatives made Math engaging for students.

• Document Camera

  Thank you for your donation! The document camera became a vital part of our classroom this school year. The camera was used for students to present their work and participate in collaborative discussions. Through the use of the camera students became presenters and their peers provided feedback with every presentation. Scholars were engaged and challenged one another academically. Students excelled throughout the year in their oral presentations. They were excited to participate and engage with one another.

  In addition, myself and other educators were able to use the technology to present data to students. The camera allowed for explicit modeling to be presented to students and for work to remain up for them to work off of and use as an anchor chart.

• Noise Cancelling!

  Thank you so much for your donations. The noise cancelling earphones that were obtained through your donations impacted student learning. Technology played a huge role in our classroom. In every subject students were using their earphones. Your genorosity allowed for students to be engaged while learning. Each desk became a quiet spot where students focused and concentrated.

  The earphones and microphones granted student the opportunity to use various learning digital tools and platforms. Those students who couldn't write used speech to text to record their responses. Sudents were able to record their personalized videos on FlipGrid while reducing background noise. ELL students who needed Google Translate were able to hear the pronunciations clearly of the translations made available.

  Overall, your donation enhanced the learning experience of every child in the classroom. The digital learning platforms for students are abundant. However, in a classroom full of student the earphones allowed for each student to have an engaging and personalized learning experience.”

• Our Cozy Classroom

  My classroom this year was warm and welcoming thanks to your generousity and kindness. The resources supplied with your donations aided the students with various projects and task through the school year. One of the classes most impacted by the resources purchased was Math. I wanted to make math as engaging as possible for my students this year. Therefore, the purchase of the mobile whiteboard, dry erase markers, and timers made this task possible.

  During math stations the students saw the mobile whiteboard and were impressed. They were accustomed to the old easels used in their previous classes. However, when they saw me moving the whiteboard to better serve them and showcase what I was teaching it made a drastic impact. Students were no longer coming up to the easel to see the work instead the work was coming to them.

  The next steps is to continue engaging my stuents during math stations. Therefore, we will continue to work with the supplies that were donated such as the timers, dry erase markers, and flexible seating, to name a few of the items.”
