My students are Hispanic and African American. Many of the students come from a one parent household. Many are eager to learn and only need someone who believes in them. The students work hard in my science class. I have seen students make better life decisions after a year in my school because they now have a can-do approach to solving problems. Now they work hard for a future. My school is a Title I school. Many of the parents live from check to check. What my school lacks in resources, it makes up for it with a big heart. My students are actively learning to teach themselves, and other students, by using the tools in the classroom. They are learning to have a can-do approach to solving problems. What I love about my school is that we have the power to influence a child 's decisions in a positive way.
