  • Stock the Recess Bin

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity! Since I am new to teaching third grade and back in the classroom after many years in a supplemental position, I didn't have a lot of recess options for my students to choose from. The students now have many options to choose from when playing at recess! They can choose from board games, blocks, sidewalk chalk, or they can tap into their creative side and use the brand new markers. They audibly gasped in delight as I shared the new materials with them. It was so heartwarming. Thank you again for making this year that much more special for all of us!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Deltufo

  • Use It or Lose it!

    Funded May 9, 2018

Thank you so much for the new materials for the 'Use It or Lose it!' project! My students have been using the puzzles, games, and markers during Morning Tub time (an engaging, fun alternative to morning work.) The new markers allow my students to create fun pictures and color such things as dot-to-dots. The measurement game has been the perfect supplemental activity to our measurement unit. Lastly, the new puzzles have allowed my students engage their brain early in the morning by working on visual-spatial reasoning, problem solving, and improve memory. Thank you so much for helping keep our classroom engaging and fun from the moment my students walk in the room each morning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Deltufo

  • Let's Keep the Last 7 Weeks Exciting, New and Fresh!

    Funded Mar 30, 2018

Your generosity helped keep the last 7 weeks of school new, fresh, and exciting! Most of the resources were used during our 'morning tubs' time. This is the first thing my students 'do' when they get to school each morning and they love it! They don't even realize the learning that taking place during this morning tubs time because they're so busy exploring, building, and having fun! These new materials brought big smiles to these little joys and they were excited to try some new materials out before leaving me for second grade!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Deltufo

  • iPad Needed!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. People like you have such an impact in today's classrooms! Currently, our school technology resources are really lacking, especially in the younger grades (Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.) Now that we have this additional I Pad, we are one step closer to really being able to meet the needs of students in a 21st century classroom. In order for students to be prepared for a more complex life and work environment, a 21st century classroom must promote creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Your donation is helping me do that. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Deltufo

  • Help!! Year #14 Needs a New Look!!!

    Funded Jul 31, 2017

Since receiving our new materials, our classroom has become an even more engaging classroom! The new dry-erase boards have allowed my students to "show what they know" in a fun way while I can quickly assess who is mastering skills and who needs more work! The books we received from this project have added a nice number of books to my classroom leveled library so students now have more books to choose from when selecting books to read independently. I very much appreciate the "facelift.":) ”

  • Morning Tubs!

    Funded Jul 11, 2017

I began morning tubs a couple of years ago as a way to engage students in something constructive and creative the moment they arrive every morning. The puzzle basket and building/blocks tub are the tubs that needed the most help. After years of use, puzzle pieces were missing, torn, or dated. The building blocks were in good shape, I just wanted something else as an option so the students didn't have to build with the same blocks all year. Since receiving our materials, our morning tubs have been even more engaging and fun! The kid's faces lit up when they saw the new puzzles and magnets they could explore and interact with every morning!!! Thank you so much for making the first thing we do in the mornings so much fun!!!”

    With gratitude,
