Privacy Please
Funded May 9, 2023Thank you for giving to students and teachers all around. My students are always excited to get new things because many of them do not get new things often.
We use the resources to provide privacy on a bad day or the space to regroup.
We also use the resources to help us focus during testing times or independent work time when some students need less distractions.
Other teachers are in awe when they see the materials we have received which makes the students happy to say my teacher got them for our class.
Hopefully, we can start a project to help us get better headphones for students who did not have any purchased for them and some snacks for students who are unable to bring snacks due to limited household resources.
Thanks again to all the people that make this possible.”
With gratitude,
Ms. T. Davis
Engage Us Please!
Funded Nov 15, 2022Thank you once again for the impact you have made to numerous schools, classes, and students.
The resources we obtained through this project are being used to help us connect what is taught by the teacher. We are able to use the materials in stations and it helps us learn more. That is what was gathered from the students as we discussed the materials after using them.
When the browm box arrived, they were curious and when each item was taken out the box, it was like Christmas. They oohed and aahed and clapped at each item. This group of kids clapped when I got a new shirt from administators. I realized they express their appreciation by clapping. They clapped and told me I was the best.
I let my students know that there are many people that make education happen daily and the can show their gratitude by taking care of the materials and remembering that it is to help them and their peers learn. They have shown great responsibility to keep up with pieces to the games, put the materials away and search diligently if they think a piece is missing.
The students will continue to use the resources for review of old materials and also for upcoming units such as time and financial literacy, so we are not done yet! Thanks you again and may your donations continue to impact many children and classrooms.”
With gratitude,
Ms. T. Davis

Funded Nov 13, 2022First, I would like to say, "Thank You!" You may hear that often being that you are apart of the Donors Choose Community, just remember behind each thank you was a grateful person. This project helped fund a higher end computer that many of my students can only dream about. Yes we have chromebooks and desktops, but many do not have access to devices aside from what they use in school. The technology helps my students make connections to devices they may not see often, but have heard about on commercials or Youtube. Many students say, my mom or dad, has a laptop similar in color, but it doesn't look like that one. Many students say they only have seen desktops at the library. The technology has allowed my students to make connections as to the why their parents or family members may not let them touch certain devices. Most often the reasons students present as to why they can't use a device is their parents don't want them to break the device or it's for their parent's job. So you use it, is awesome!
The most exciting component is the feel of the device. It is more sleek and one student said once he was allowed to use it said, "Whoa, this feels so different, I like this." He was allowed to compete against peers to see if the laptop made a difference in his score compared to using the chromebook. He came in 1st with the device and 3rd with the chromebook and he said, I would have to try this again to see if it really matters, but I think it does make a difference he said because the other student beat him when she used the laptop instead of the chromebook.
Overall, I think they love the idea of being able to use more advanced devices and when they use the desktops they realize the patience needed because those devices are the slowest devices compared to the chromebooks and the Asus laptop.
Thanks again for allowing me to expand their knowledge of device features that brings a new feel to classroom gaming and technology.”

Funded Nov 13, 2018My students were ecstatic when they saw the coding mouse that was purchased for our class . Many students love that coding took different forms. We use the materials for our stem block and our kids are the most engaged during those times. Some of our students took coding to the next level by joining Lego Robotics and by doing so will have the opportunity to compete. We plan on getting more snap circuits so they can try their hands at more complex tasks and build their confidence as well.
Thank you for your generosity and without donors like you many opportunities would not be possible. Keep donating at your heart's desire and shaping the lives of those near and far.”
With gratitude,
