Growing up, classroom etiquette was usually set in stone. You came into class, sat down, took notes and then left. But today. classroom etiquette comes in various forms. Many of the supplies listed in this project, allows students to be engaged in the learning process.
The supplies listed open the doors for an interactive and hands on experience for students will working with complex text. It allows them to share their opinions and make connections relevant not just to other text, but also their own experiences. These are essential conversations because it removes the boring classroom etiquette and introduces students to a whole new frame work of learning.
The items listed below will help students with their daily activities and set a positive learning environment. For example, the the cell phone chart allows students to put their cell phones in the assigned for the duration of the class and not be distracted during class time. Additionally the dry erase boards and whiteboard will allows to work through trial and error and actually see their thought process and writing transition. As far as the caddy, sharpener, hanging folders and Paper mate flair felt pens, students will use these items to remain organize, mark their assignments, and have an easy transition between task without worrying about having simple resources. Finally, the evidence based bulletin board, essentials chart, and chalkboard letters serve as class decor and reminders in fun ways. With the evidence based bulletin board, students will have a constant reminder about evidence based writing as well as other mechanics in Language Arts.
These few items will makes a major difference in our English class and I thank for all your help and support. With theses items, learning will be fun, different and most importantly effective.
