  • Warm Winter Wishes

    Funded Jan 23, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom project. These items went to my students for the winter season. I have so many students that are using these items daily, so I am truly appreciative of you. These items have brightened their day, helped them stay warm and cozy, and provided relief against some of the winter elements. Where we live it can be 70 one day and have snow the next. We have such crazy weather that I like to have supplies they need at school so they are always prepared.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tarver

  • WONDER-ful Learning

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation. This book is a personal favorite. I moved to a new district this year and didn't have many book sets to teach from. I used this book as a read aloud and they loved it.

Wonder is a great book to teach at the beginning of the year to remind students that even though we are different we are all similar. This book teaches about how we can all choose to be kind. What a wonderful lesson. Thank you for helping me get a set of these for my future students to enjoy.”

  • Crafting Success

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations. We have used these supplies to create a figurative language foldable. Students defined, gave examples, and illustrated an example of several different types of figurative language. When learning about narrative writing, we illustrated a comic. We have an interactive notebook that we use these supplies for too. Your donation purchased supplies that will be utilized daily in our classroom! We are so thankful for these nice new supplies that will be available for all students.”

  • Recycling Smarts

    Funded May 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students love being able to express their creativity in the classroom while being environmentally responsible.

We received tape, post-it's, pencils, paper sacks and more that were recycled. We will learn the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. These things might seem simple but it is something small that makes a big impact on their learning. They will remember "that time when our class had new supplies donated"! They will also remember how good it feels to know these items aren't in a landfill but are in our classroom being used.”

  • Creativity Through Research and Writing

    Funded Jun 1, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students love being able to express their creativity in the classroom.

The Chromebook chargers have been fantastic for my students that need to charge their Chromebooks at school. It makes the space look neat and tidy while being efficient.

After conducting research students will have a blast designing their posters with new colored pencils and colorful paper. These things might seem simple but it is something small that makes a big impact on their learning. They will remember "that time when our class had new supplies donated"!”

  • Reading Success

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you for your generous donations. My students have now been able two read 2 excellent books because of you!

My students have read House on Mango Street, which is a culturally diverse book. It helped my students see life from a different perspective. So often, we get stuck in a mindset that everyone has the same type of life that we do when that's not the case.

My students are reading Chasing Lincoln's Killer. This is exposing students to a high-interest nonfiction text. Your donation also allowed me to purchase materials to go along with the book from Teachers Pay Teachers. I love this organization because it sells materials made by other teachers. I made students individual packets with chapter activity sheets from TPT.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tarver

  • Fresh Reads

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

Your donation has helped purchase some wonderful books for our classroom and we thank you so much.

The first book is The House on Mango Street which is a culturally diverse book that helps students view things from a different perspective. We talked a lot about author word choice and it's influence on the mood and tone of the book.

The second book Chasing Lincoln's Killer allowed my students a chance to read an engaging piece of non-fiction. Most people know only a part of the story but my students were shocked by how much they didn't know about Lincoln's death and the manhunt.

Thank you for blessing my students this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tarver

  • Not Your Ordinary Classroom

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you for your generosity! This year has been especially difficult with the Covid 19 pandemic. Shifting teaching from virtual to blended to face-to-face multiple times has been hard on us all. Your donation helped provide funds to buy learning tools from the Teacher Pay Teacher website. You not only helped me find valuable online learning resources, but you helped support another teacher's business as well. Having these resources helped make teaching online more engaging and saved me so much time because I didn't have to make resources from scratch. Thank you again!”

  • Pandemic Project

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity. It has been a year full of challenges, but having supplies we needed made it easier. Thanks to you, my students have plenty of hand sanitizer. Students now are able to get a fresh pencil without touching any other pencils, and the colored tape has allowed me to color code and mark chairs so students know what supplies they can touch and use. I even used the tape as markers for where kids could stand socially distanced in the hallways as we clean the classroom. Thank you again!”

The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches. Therefore most students don't have the available technology needed to complete assignments much less have knowledge about current technology or how to use it. For most students in our area, school is where they experience many "firsts" or new things. Some students have never even traveled more than 30 minutes from home.
