  • Social Skills Should Be Fun!

    Funded Aug 20, 2024

Thank you for donating to my project. This is the perfect time of year to start teaching social skills right from the beginning. Teaching children how to be kind, regulate their emotions and develop perseverance is the key to a successful year in the classroom and sets them up for a lifetime of opportunities. I am so excited to start the year with all the materials I have chosen.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schut

  • See Me Write!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Wow! Thank you for donating and funding my classroom's needs. Kindergarten is such a crucial time to build those fine motor skills and students come with such varying level of skills. The pencil grips are great and recommended by my wonderful OT. The writing paper will allow them to work at their craft of letter formation and expressing themselves.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schut

  • Art, Reading and the Environment

    Funded May 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my classroom. My teaching assignment changed this year from Just Math/Science to also adding back in Kindergarten reading. I purchased a few suitcases with photo boxes inside in order to create new individual and small group games geared toward phonemic awareness so that my students can engage in fun and authentic learning during intervention time.

I was also able to purchase manipulatives for reading and math small group lessons such as counting bubble mats and tools to help them physically sound out words. They are excited when we pull out these new materials and have been much more physically engaged in small group setting.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schut

  • Hands-on and Listening!

    Funded May 4, 2022

Your donations have been greatly appreciated and well used by students in my classroom. Without headphones, my students would not be able to concentrate and focus on their individualized learning paths. Your generosity has impacted students learning in so many ways.

Without the generosity of each donor who gives to the classroom, I couldn't make the activities in the classroom complete.

This year I had materials in my room without it having come from the bank of my personal household.

I am beyond thankful for it all.”

    With gratitude,

  • Ready, Set, Show your Learning!

    Funded May 20, 2015

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students are loving these new white board paddles and so am I. There are in use every day, all day. When they finish their work, they are the tool to practice words, letters and number writing. During my lesson, I find them invaluable. The give me a chance to have them practice the skill, show me their understanding and give them immediate feedback throughout the day. I also keep some at my small group table and we use them much in the same manner. I also love that I can use them for entry and exit tasks without having to go to the copier and have more paperwork to look at. I can simply keep a list with me of who is grasping the concepts and who needs more help. Again, Thank you for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schut

My students are Kindergarteners in a rural school district in Washington state. Most of them are just beginning their journey in school, having not been to preschool and are devouring all the information they can. They are excited and motivated to learn to read and would be so happy to have a listening center in their classroom. My school and I are very passionate about providing the best materials for our students so that they are prepared for what lies ahead. Please assist us in that quest!
