• Help Us Get Equity! Tired of the Smart Board Competition!

  This funded project boosted my students' learning tremendously! Students are engaged and motivated by the LG Standby Me monitor. Students can't wait for a chance to be in the meeting area with the other "Smart board". Students love the equity of our learning environment because they get to learn using images, slides, and videos. Students also love the interactive apps and touch features to make their thinking visible.

• Pandemic Remote Supplies Needed!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation that allowed me to have a second monitor, a document camera and a mouse. The new technology made remote learning better. It allowed me to help the students with ease during remote learning.

  The monitors are wonderful tools to help in my teaching, they gave me the opportunity to see what I am presenting to my students, manipulate images on the screen all while being able to see my whole class at once.

  The document camera improved the math teaching and learning experience for all. The camera allows me to project images that are written on a white board or piece of paper. It allowed students to clearly see have the models/examples of addition and subtraction strategies. I can demonstrate how to do the expected math in real time. The document camera makes remote learning so much easier.

  The mouse is much appreciated and the ability to click from item to the next makes life so much easier.

• Help! Young Artists in Need of Supplies

  Thank you so much for supporting the students in my class and understanding the importance of art in education. Your donation was extremely generous and I cannot put into words how much it means to me that you have supported my classroom. When I told my students about the website Donors Choose and what it is for, they were shocked that people they don't even know would spend money on them. I even had one student say "Ms. Hardie, it's like Christmas!" Needless to say my students were taken back by your selfless action.

  My students didn't waste a second in opening the packages. The reactions on my student's faces were priceless and was amazing to see. They have used the art supplies to publish their writing , as well as in art class. Thank you for making such an impact on the lives on these children.

  This funded project boosted my students learning tremendously. The excitement level in the classroom during Art is contagious! I have become more creative as a teacher thanks to all of you, I look forward to creating another project for my class!”

• iPad! iMotivate! iLearn!

When I told my students about the website Donors Choose and what it is for, they were shocked that people they don't even know would spend money on them. I even had one student say "Ms. Hardie, it's like Christmas!" Needless to say my students were taken back by your selfless action.

  My students didn't waste a second in opening the packages. Once they saw the words "fragile" on the side of the box, they all got extremely quiet. I know they have all seen an iPad before, but this was our class's iPad! Once the iPad was up and running, we discussed when and how we should use it. The iPad is being utilized during reading, writing, math, and choice time to reinforce skills learned and skills not yet mastered.

  This funded project boosted my students learning tremendously! Students are engaged and motivated by the iPad. My students are learning the technological skills they need to be successful. This is all because of your generous donation to help us go iPad!”
