  • Cardiovascular System & 13 Colonies Oh-My! Voyaging the 5th-grade Sciences

    From the bottom of my heart, thank you very very VERY much for contributing to my students' love for learning! We have learned so much already about the cardiovascular system and the digestive system and thanks to your very generous donation students will now have the opportunity to experience some really cool hands-on projects which will literally blow their socks off and just make them love science that much more! In addition, thanks to your generous contribution, I will be able to purchase and assemble some very engaging activities and social studies lessons for my students! Thanks to your donation, I'll be able to bring social studies to life and immerse my students in the history of the birth of our nation. We'll learn about the 13 colonies, the US Revolution, and so much more! Lastly, thanks to you, social studies will live outside the textbooks. Students will NOT have to learn from the stale and boring textbooks we have in our classroom. Again, thank you so much for bringing the magic of learning to LIFE! Thank you for making a teacher's heart burst with joy and excitement and allowing me to create the learning experiences our youth deserve.

Since March 13, my students and I have been out of the classroom. Distance learning has had its ups and downs but is very different from regular school. My student teacher and I have done many virtual activities and tried doing some art lessons but quickly realized that our students have limited school supplies and almost zero art materials. In addition to that, our students are spending incredibly large quantities of screen time. I would love to supply them with materials so they can enjoy some non-screen activities during this time, and over the summer. I have picked out a few art materials I know will bring much joy and excitement to my students, including their own set of Crayola Watercolors, Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils, and cardstock paper that will allow them to beautifully display their art.
