Kick Off 2021
Funded Aug 5, 2021Thank you for your support with these new materials. For starters Lucy's mask is such a great classroom essential during these covid days! As for the other books: the world needs more purple people is such a wonder for teaching kindness and acceptance of those who may look different from us. The parks and recreation book was to help us add to our collection of books by that author.
Our calendar has been with me since my first year of teaching so I was very much in need of a new one. Every morning we use it to see what day it is!
I look forward to using the rest of the n”

Starting the Year off Right 2019-2020
Funded Aug 14, 2019I am always so grateful to the support provided to my classroom, and this project was of course no exception. In my years of teaching I had never taught the same thing twice. That being said, I found myself in a unique position this year where I would finally be teaching the same grade & setting twice. I knew having done this once before there were some popular items that I would need more of, and I also knew there were items I had not used before that I would like to try using this year. You all made this and more possible.
My little ones and I thank you very much! I am hoping for a great school year.”

Funded May 10, 2019Thank you for supporting my little ones and providing myself, my students' guardians, and everyone else involved that my little ones can be safe when we go on field trips.
Kindergarten is amazing opportunity to explore the world around you. This is one of the reasons my class went on a lot of trips this year! That being said I felt much more comfortable the end of the year when we went on trips having taken extra measures to keep my students safe.
I could not have done so without the support of our generous donors.”

Art Supplies Galore
Funded Jan 2, 2019Art is truly such an essential piece to a child's education. My students thrive when they can express themselves creatively. However, as young children they have a difficult time keeping their materials all together. We have lost many an art supplies throughout the year. That being said this donation provided us with an endless supply of materials. Now I no longer hear the sad cry from my students when there is no more of their favorite color to be used. We use these supplies for endless projects and writing assignments.
Thank you very much!”

Funded Nov 13, 2018I would like to take this time to thank you for providing my students with the materials they need to succeed. My students have been eating through the felt pens this year, so any new ones are GREATLY appreciated. You know how 5-year Olds can be!
The laminating pouches have been a major help in keeping stuff in a great condition so we have them for years to come. As a young teacher, I really appreciate that!
The binders and page protectors are also for making preservation of materials as easy as can be.
Thank you!!”

Kindergarten Necessities
Funded Oct 22, 2018Thank you for supporting our classroom by providing us with this wide range of materials. Starting with the A level readers, we are so eager to get our hands on all of these new, developmentally appropriate books as a means of progressing our reading as we continue to grow and learn more.
Additionally the colored pens were able to help us revise and edit our work to become published authors and illustrators. We celebrated with our first publishing party of the year.
The apple timer keeps track of our time so we may best maximize our learning.
We are so lucky to have these and many more supplies to make this the best year yet!”

Starting the Year Off Right
Funded Sep 2, 2018Thank you so much for your support with this project. Your support has gotten me these many materials to help my students. The colored chart paper has been used for my students to practice their interactive writing. As well as the other type of chart paper being what I used for writing workshop to model for my students. The markers have been used to make countless posters as well as other art projects. The command products and magnetic products were used to hang up a variety of materials, specifically anchor charts.
Thank you very much for everything!”

Anchor Charts Galore!
Funded Aug 9, 2018The new resources helped us to get our classroom set up for the year! The command strips were used to hang up posters all around the room.
Additionally the first Aid Kit was helpful to bring on our first field trip. We went to Green Meadows farm and I know I felt so much better going on this trip having a first aid kit with us. I plan to bring it on every trip this year.
The post-it chart paper has been used to make a variety of anchor charts in our classroom. My students have been very lucky to have these charts as a frame of reference to help with their learning.
Thank you for all your support!”

Trip of a Lifetime!
Funded Mar 27, 2018I cannot thank you enough for supporting my class in order to go to Philadelphia with the rest of our grade! Despite the burning heat and the sunburn I received, we really could not have asked for a better trip.
Originally when my co teacher and I heard about this trip with the massive price tag that came along with it, we decided that we would not attend the trip. We notified our grade team and moved on. That being said once we heard the entire 4th grade was going we did not think it was fair to back out. We did not want for any reason for our students to feel left out just because they could not afford the trip. That is where Donorschoose came in! I am so glad I decided to use this to raise money for my students to be able to go on the trip. This was actually my 1st Donorschoose ever! I look forward to many more projects as I support my students for years to come!”
