I'm stupid! As a special education teacher, this is a phrase that I hear all too often. The students in my class have learning disabilities, so they learn differently than other people. They are all smart and capable; however, sometimes it takes a lot for them to realize this of themselves. I teach Language Arts to these students who all have some sort of disability in reading or writing. My class prepares these students to move into the general education curriculum, so we focus on creating the skills and resources that they will need.
