I have been given the honor of teaching a new program available to our students with special needs. My classroom acts as a support structure to help bridge the gap from being fully contained in special education to inclusive regular education. My students are transitioning into regular education one class at a time and in the meantime they learn all course material in my classroom. My classroom includes grades 5-8, fully covering every core class for each grade at the moment. I have to teach a lot of small group instruction and therefore, I need more materials for hands-on independent learning. The materials selected for my project will give the students some hands-on technology that they can work on and learn with independently. The coding robots will aid in keeping up with mainstream education courses. There are many items that we still need due to the late decision to implement this program. I am truly grateful to everyone who can help support us and our learning goals.
