You can’t always choose your classroom, but you can always choose how you arrange it. That choice, as differentiated instruction research has shown, can deeply impact how my students learn. I am ready to bring a new facet to flexible grouping and instruction with the choice for my students to utilize flexible seating options with the requested carpet and chairs. With the flexible seating or flexible learning option comes the daunting task of visualizing and organizing the project to put it to appropriate use. Once in place, my students’ learning achievements can benefit with increased engagement in their safe, secure, and comfortable seating choice.
