  • Food Pantry Items

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

I would like to send my most sincere thank you to all that helped with our food pantry. The food / snack items was a resource that was used throughout the school building. It was a blessing to know that so many people cared enough to help out students that they do not know. The food in the pantry was used to provide not just snacks but meals to hold some students over during the weekend that suffered from food insecurities. Using the items from this project we were able to show that there was a need and the food pantry was expanded.

Thank you for all that you do.”

Thank you so much for your donations. Your generosity will help my students practice their compounding skills. • Learning Tools

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

Thank you to all the donors that helped to get this project funded. I am truly grateful that kind people who want to help students succeed still exist. When I first made the supply station at the beginning of the school year I had no idea how much of an impact it had. I also didn't realize how much it would be utilized. Thank you for allowing me to continue to have this much needed resource available.”

  • Lab Supplies

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

With your donation I was able to update the pharmacy lab. The students was able to do hands on activities all school year. My students are part of a dual-enrollment college level course that is taught to them in high school. Some of the material is complicated and they have a hard time understanding some of the pharmacy practices reading it on paper. The lab was really important for the students that did not understand the "theory" part of class. Hands on learning is a very important step in learning pharmacy skills. There have been a few students this year that said they didn't understand the lesson on paper but the lab activities helped them. Thank you so much for all that you are doing to help our students learn and thrive.”

  • Indoor Herb Garden

    Funded Mar 17, 2022

Thank you so much for helping the pharmacy students and myself with our herb garden project. If things go as plan we will be able to move the indoor (classroom) garden to the old greenhouse later this spring. You have help us make our first step towards the big plan that the students have came up with.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pierce

  • Lab/Compounding Stations

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

I am sending my greatest and deepest appreciation to you for helping me in getting one step closer to completing the pharmacy lab area. As we prepare to gain our ASHP accreditation the lab will be used to help expand the simulated learning experience before the pharmacy students go out to do their experiential training. There is a lot of theory that is covered in class that the students do not completely understand until they get to the hands on portion of learning. The compounding stations will be used to help learn / reinforce math skills that will be used on a daily basis in a normal pharmacy setting. The students and I greatly appreciate your willingness to donate to their future in healthcare.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pierce

The materials on my list will be used in our lab. These students are preparing for national testing to obtain certification and licensing as Registered Pharmacy Technicians. Most of the students are planning on using their certification to assist in paying for college. These materials will be used for hands on training. The weigh paper, gelatin capsules, and droppers will be used in their compounding practicals. The concepts that the students need to master in order to pass their certification test are mastered when they have hands-on examples of what they are reading about. Videos are great but clinical practice is better and student retention is higher.
