Making Math Fun with Games!
Funded May 9, 2017When our materials came, my students were so excited. They can not wait to be able to put them all to great use. I plan to make task cards based on certain math standards that students can use to play these games. I am so thrilled about the opportunity for my students to enjoy reviewing math skills in my classroom! My students look forward to math now that they know they have the opportunity to use these board games. I am able to bring math to life for many of my students and it has been a great experience!
My students have a new zest for math since they can now understand how they will use math in everyday life, as they grow older. Making math fun and enjoyable is a goal I strive to achieve each year. Many students come to 5th grade hating math and struggle to put the pieces to their mathematical puzzle together.
Thank you for providing these materials for my classroom...it is a joy to see how they have affected the climate during math class. I can't wait to see how much they enjoy doing math while they enjoy playing the games at the same time. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!”

Math is FUNctional
Funded Feb 9, 2017Thank you so very much for all of the math materials. My students are absolutely thriving on coming to class each day. Students are able to be up and around the classroom learning new math concepts. This is all because of your generosity and I greatly appreciate that!
At first students were hesitant when the materials arrived because they though, ew...more math. Well they are lovin' it! I hope to match their learning styles even more with the materials your provided to make it a more enriching math curriculum. Thank you again so much for making this project possible!”

Math Vocabulary One Word at a Time
Funded Nov 14, 2016I was so thrilled about the opportunity for my students to see vocabulary brought to life through these dictionaries in my classroom! My students look forward to math now that they know they have the opportunity to use these to look up new or confusing words and participate in educational experiences throughout the week. I am able to bring math to life for many of my students and it has been a great experience! So many students who are struggling with concepts have been able to visualize these concepts and understand now the importance of why they must learn the material.
My students have a new zest for math since they can now understand how they will use math in everyday life, as they grow older. Many of the words are actually broken down or related to previous concepts down so students can learn more conceptually which promotes them to better understand the math. The children also enjoy using the dictionaries!

Funded Oct 15, 2016I am so thrilled about the excitement you have brought to my classroom! My students look forward to math now that they know they have the opportunity to participate in educational experiences with manipulatives throughout the week. I am able to bring math to life for many of my students and it has been a great experience! So many students who are struggling with concepts have been able to visualize these concepts and understand now the importance of why they must learn the material. The organizational materials have allowed me to purchase some task cards and activities that require storage so students in the future can also benefit.
My students have a new zest for math since they can now understand how they will use math in everyday life, as they grow older. Three of the activity sets actually break concepts down so students can learn more conceptually which promotes them to better understand the math. The children also enjoy doing them!
Thank you for providing these hands-on materials for my classroom...it is a joy to see how they have affected the climate not only during math class but also during free time. My students would have never dreamed of giving up their free time to do math, but with manipulatives that make it exciting, many students join in the fun during free time! Tablet's To Make Math More Meaningful
Funded Nov 17, 2015Your generosity with providing tablets for my classroom has helped my students in many areas. Students have been able to see that math can be enjoyable. These tablets have allowed me to purchase some task cards and activities that require students to have a QR reader to self-check their mathematical thinking.
Many of my students do not have the opportunity to use any type of technology at home due to being from low-income families. Most parents can not afford to provide their students with these type of opportunity for their child.
These tables have affected all levels of learners I have throughout my three daily math classes. I have seen low achieving students who hate math, literally ask why they have to leave math class. Students enjoy working on some of the apps. They enjoy using QR codes with problems they would normally cringe over. Many of my high achieving students love math even more because they can work more independently on Task Cards that they can now self check and correct. Even though both ends of the spectrum have been greatly affected by your donation, it is so exciting to see the fragile learners light up when they come into math class, knowing they will enjoy and learn something new each day. Thank you so much for providing these supplies to make such a huge difference in my classroom.”

Help us Become More Eco-friendly by Studying Ecosystems
Funded Apr 23, 2010Thank you again so much for your generous donation. The science materials that were purchased for my classroom have brought such joy to my students. We have already using some materials and it has been a great learning experience for my students. The students were able to relate the concept to real life situations!
Our county is currently working with low funds due to state and local budget cuts. Without your donation the learning experiences my students have been having would not have been possible. We are able to use these materials to help prepare the children for the science achievement test they will take at the end of the year.
These materials have provided a whole new perspective for our students learning and our teaching style. Without your donation, students would not be so excited about science this year ”

Another issue we face being in fifth grade is by the time students get to us, they have already read most of the books we have available to us. These books have provided a whole new perspective for our students learning and our teaching style. Without your donation, students would not be so excited about reading this year!”
