Proper Equipment Is Queen
Funded Aug 6, 2022I would first like to say thank you so much for your generosity. The girls definitely felt the outpouring of love from you. I initially got the equipment so that the girls could have their own equipment and be able to compete on the same level as the boys. I couldn't have imagined that the girls would use the equipment and bond with one another and grow strong as a team by helping each other and encouraging each other with every station they went to. This wouldn't have been possible without people like you CHOOSING to pour into these young ladies and for that I am truly grateful and the I want you to know that the Lady Dawgs thank you from the bottom of our Bulldog Heart.”

Keeping Our Guard Up
Funded May 17, 2022My girls are beyond thankful to have the mouthguards that y'all so generously donated to. They've collided a few times in practice and at our scrimmage we just recently had and the mouthguards prevented any oral damage from occurring. The wristbands are helping the girls that don't necessarily remember the plays but can look at them during the game and know what route they're supposed to run. I am beyond appreciative of you for showing my girls that in a time where they don't feel valued or represented or heard that there are still people who don't even know them that care and want to see them succeed.”

Funded Jan 3, 2019You have no idea how touched and appreciative we are for the out pour of love from the community and those just scrolling through that saw a need and decided to fill a need. You are now all a part of the community that are helping my students grow and become better individuals. I initially requested the iPads because my computer lab is old and the computers in it don't work half of the time; and with them being out of warranty the county scraps them but they aren't getting replaced. The iPads have became fillers for when my computers aren't working and I have an abundance of students in the lab.
I never actually dreamed that they would be beneficially for our learning impaired students. One of my autistic students in kindergarten isn't good with working a mouse or communicating his frustration properly. I gave him the iPad to see if he would be able to use it and he could! He was so happy that he was also on a "computer" like the other students in the class. If it wasn't for you all donating and showing my students that someone cares and is invested in their learning then he would still be sitting over to the side not as involved with the other students and for that I say thank you and all of my students thank you.”

Headphones Needed
Funded Aug 6, 2018I would first like to say thank you to each person and/or organization that donated fund to allow my wonderful students to receive headphones. Having headphones gave my students the opportunity to focus on their own customized lesson through a countywide system. Without the headphones the programs would be talking over each other, which would cause distraction to everyone in class, thus leading to children being off task.
As one of my students said, "Having these [headphones] makes me happy; not only because I can pay attention to my own computer without hearing everybody else work, but because someone cared enough to make sure I had MY own pair (1st grader)." That sense of ownership is important, especially to kids that do not own a lot.
So again, thank you for donating and thank you for bestowing the sense of ownership and the pride that comes with it upon so many students.”
