Funded Sep 16, 2020These news science resources have been invaluable. The students were overjoyed as we unloaded box after box of lab tools and experiments. The excitement mounted as we talked about all the different things we would be exploring using the resources provided. They will learn about food webs, weathering, and erosion, physical and chemical changes in matter.
Dissecting owl pellets allowed the students to experiment hands-on. Appropriately use lab tools. They learned the importance of working as a group and problem solving using only the tools provided. They were also able to think critically to solve problems.
In dissecting the owl pellets they were able to solve the scientific phenomena of what an owl eats. They were able to analyze data and create tables to discover over 15 groups, what owls eat most often. It provided an experience with a highly engaging phenomenon.”
