  • Inquiring Minds: Ask Us?

    Funded Aug 2, 2021

These are a few students who are enjoying this laptop. We have our Minecraft up & going. I have several students that are working on digital art, digital design, logo design, 3D design & augmented reality programs...these are just a few programs that we will enter in the Student Technology Leadership Program. We are utilizing this device on a daily bases and in the afternoon. Having this device using a different OS allows students to experience other computer applications.

Thanks so much for supporting our project.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dodson

  • Library Media/Technology Classes

    Funded May 8, 2018

I appreciate the technology added to the library. It has allowed our students to work on activities to create movies, edit and other applications. This is an opportunity that will help advance these 5th graders when attending middle school if they choose an elective for media, annual class or library skills.

We live in a rural community with few educational opportunities. School is the place that students are exposed to ex-curricular events or classes. Teaching technology is an area that students need to be exposed in any and all aspects. The jobs that they will seek as a career are the jobs that have not been created at this time in their life. It is with your help that makes the exposure possible for students to explore the different activities.

    You are”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dodson

This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors and one other donor.
I have requested one computer for a classroom to learn video production using the Adobe Elements in which will need some of the bells and whistles to install the program. Both computers will allow access to teach students coding, scratch, Code org, the use of Google Docs and the after school programs teach STEM via a Minecraft activity to create and build instructions provided via the STLP competition. Two computers in the library will be a start to help with the programs I have discussed. The computers can be used to implement the daily curriculum to the online reading program, MAP testing, and other curriculum that is used in the classroom daily.
