Flexible Seating!
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for your donations! My students love having the option to move around the room when they are working independently or in small groups. Some students purposely come early to class to stake out their "spot" which always makes me giggle. The lights make my class look calming and relaxing for the students. I often get compliments from students that are not in my class when they walk by. My goal is to make my classroom a safe place for my students and having these items has really helped me to meet my goal.”

Funded Jan 30, 2021Thank you so much for the donations so we could have flexible seating and new technology in the classroom. It has been so helpful this year to be able to have the students move around the room to socially distance. The tech is great for me to use for my online classes and virtual teaching. the document camera has paid for itself and will continue to do so. We will continue to use the camcorder even when school returns in person (hopefully next year). The kids have already started to ask for more bean bags so I will make sure to find some more for them next year! Thank you again for all your donations.”

Materials for Distance Learning
Funded Oct 22, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my students in these uncertain times. The donations you gave provided me with gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers which allows me to purchase materials when I have to change from a hybrid to an in person to a virtual environment. The past two months I have been working virtually with my students and I have been able to find online resources that supplement what we are learning without having to spend a lot of time creating materials. This allows me to spend more time working with my students and providing them with the support they need. thank you so much!”

Funded Jul 9, 2020Thank you so much for donating money to buy cleaning and health supplies for my classroom. It may sound silly but the students really appreciate having nice tissues instead of the school tissues. It is also very nice to have back up hand sanitizer to have in multiple places in the room for the students to use.
Students appreciate being able to wipe down their areas and materials throughout the day and the wipes really help instead of directly spraying something directly on a Chromebook or phone. It is also helpful to just be able to grab one to quickly clean an area.
I plan to continue to use the cleaning materials throughout the school year as the school district decides what we are going to do school wise. Again thank you so much for your support of my students and my classroom and helping us all stay healthy and well!”

Want Supplies Need Supplies
Funded May 15, 2019My students love the classroom materials! they are able to use them in a variety of ways including class discussions, art projects, and group projects. I love not having to worry about my students having pencils for class. They know where to grab one and it doesn't disrupt the class. We have started to use the whiteboards to share during class discussions and group projects. The students use them to draft out ideas without having to use paper which gives them more time to focus on what they are doing as opposed to finding paper.
As the school year progresses, we will continue to use the materials to expand our learning and creativity. We really appreciate all of your donations!”

Creativity and Technology Combined
Funded May 8, 2018Thank you so much for your monetary contributions for my students. They love the new laptops. We have been able to do a variety of activities including looking at 3D images of brains, completing Internet research, and designing their own 3D models of brains. Having laptops allows my students to move around the room to work which allows them to share activities with their peers.
I have been able to integrate more educational apps and software into my teaching so the students are exposed to different activities. The Kahoot website is often a favorite because it allows the students to review material and compete with each other.
The use of laptops allows me to engage in different ways with students and has assisted in engaging students who may not be as interested in learning through traditional methods. Again thank you again for your wonderful contributions!”
