  • The Magic of an iPad

    Thank you so much for your support of my classroom. My class has begun to make great use of our new iPad mini. They have been using it to play educational games. We have also been using it for research for our reports and essays. The iPad has also been a great tool for small group instruction. It is a great way to show my students something on the spot or in a small group. We can watch videos and use math tools on it as well. It has brought excitement to my class.   • The Magic Of Creativity

    Thank you all so much for your generosity and support of my classroom. My class is loving all of our new supplies. We have been putting them to great use when making posters and projects. We have also used the colored paper to publish our writing in fun ways. We are making puppets to help celebrate our biography unit using the sticks, paper and tape. These supplies have helped to build my students creativity and brought an excitement about learning to my class. We can not wait to continue to use these wonderful materials throughout the school year.”

    Thank you so much for all of the wonderful supplies. We have been putting them to great use already. We have been creating wonderful posters to share our ideas and thoughts about the Native American tribes we have been studying. We have also been creating amazing bulletin boards and publishing our reports using all of the new paper and pens. My class is so excited to have so many supplies so easily available to them.   • Amazing Mathematicians

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. My class has already begun to use our new slates and erasers during math. They are a great tool for practicing fluency in math facts and for solving math problems in a fun way. Dry erase boards are a great way to assess what my students know in a fun and quick way. We have also been using our magnetic lined paper to model problems so that the entire class can see. We are so thankful for all these wonderful math supplies. My class is showing a love of math and these supplies have made that happen.”

My class has already begun to enjoy the read alouds, Andrew Clements books and Louise Erdrich books. They are such a great addition to our curriculum. We have also begun to use our sheet protectors to write on graphic organizers and keep our handouts safe and clean. We are practicing our reading skills such as character traits, character feelings and summary already with these books.     Thank you Jared and PWC for your generous donation. My class is thrilled to have the new supplies and books. We have begun to read all of our new books. There is a waiting list to borrow the new Andrew Clements and Lousie Erdrich books in order to continue our study of these authors. It is great to have such excitement about reading. New books help encourage reading and writing. We have also been studying figurative language and using our new books on similes, metaphors and idioms to help us with our poetry unit. We have also been using our new paper, pencils and supplies to help us with our reading and writing projects. There has been a great excitement about reading and writing in my classroom because of all of these new materials. We are so thankful for your support as well as your visit to our classroom.   • Tall Tales and Folktales Come to Life

    Thank you all for your support of my classroom. My class was so excited when the boxes arrived. They have already begun to read the new tall tales and folktales. This is a great extension to our curriculum. With these new books they have begun to make connections between the books we have read together and the books they are now reading independently. It is amazing to see the comparisons they can make between different books on the same genre.
