My class has been using the flashcards to review their basic facts and math skills so that they can gain confidence in their mathematical ability. We have been using the magnetic lined and graph paper to show our work on our easel so that we can all see. It is so great to see my students so excited about math. Funded Feb 1, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom. My class loves having a new easel that can easily be erased and they can see the writing on clearly. We have also been making great use of the fact that it is magnetic. We have been using our fraction magnetic manipulative to show the entire class what the problem is describing. It is so nice for everyone to be able to see the same thing. We have also been using our new easel to display the same story to read and discuss. It is so important for my students to be able to read the same thing and clearly show their classmates their work. Thank you again for helping my class.”

We have already updated some of our bulletin boards to make them bright and colorful. We have been using the markers to create awesome covers and art work. These materials also help my students to be so much more independent since they have access to a wide range of materials. We have begun to publish our writing in new ways using the paper. We are making amazing projects in all subject areas. We have created amazing bulletin boards. My students now have more choice when choosing the materials they need. Our calendar has been repaired with the Velcro. History Comes Alive
Funded Nov 7, 2017Thank you so much for your support of my classroom. My class was so excited when the boxes of materials arrived. They couldn't believe so many new social studies books were in the boxes. We have begun using our new books to help us in our study of New York and American history. We will continue to read these books during the year and they will help us to do research about social studies topics that interest us. The primary sources will help my students to experience life long ago and to see actual documents. Thank you so much for your help!”

The DVDs are giving a great view of what life was like long ago. This is so hard for students to visualize.
