Buzzing Book Clubs
Funded Dec 3, 2010Thank you for the wonderful books. We are so excited to use these books in our mystery book clubs. These books allow for my students to participate in book clubs and read books that are on their level. The smiles on their faces were huge when the box arrived. My students are so eager to read these new books. They dove right in and began to read them. The excitement over reading was huge.
You have made a difference in the lives of my students this year and in the future. These books will be so helpful in providing them with age appropriate books that interest my students. Thank you again for your generosity.”

Classroom Beautification Project
Funded Sep 7, 2010Thank you so much for the bulletin board paper and borders. These supplies have helped to create beautiful bulletin boards inside and outside of my classroom for me to display the children in my classes work. It is so rewarding for my students to see their own work hanging up for their classmates, parents and teachers to see.
We are also so excited for the new pencils for our prize box. When the students get 10 tickets for good behavior and following the rules they get to pick from this special box. These pencils are now one of the choices they have.
We are also using the colored sticks in our jobs board and our writing process tracking chart. We move our sticks as we go through the writing process. Thank you so much for your generous donations and support of my classroom. We appreciate all your help.”

Radical Readers
Funded Aug 29, 2010Thank you so much for the leveled books. I immediately leveled them and placed them in baskets. They created such excitement over reading in my classroom. My students were so excited when the box of new books arrived. There are now new books in all of our leveled baskets and this supports our work in reading workshop. Having books that interest students is essential to teaching them new reading skills and encouraging a love of books.
We are eager to read these new books and share them with our reading partners. Thank you for your generosity and for supporting my classroom.”

Super Star Readers and Writers
Funded May 23, 2010Thank you so much for donating to my project! My students went bananas when they saw all the amazing nonfiction books we will be using this year. I am getting goosebumps thinking about how much they will learn this year using your generous gifts. It is refreshing to know that you share my vision for teaching a class of students who love literacy. It is not often that people help others they do not know.
Your books will help us to learn about famous people and to research different countries and cultures. We will be using your books to help us with many different units in social studies and reading throughout this school year.
I hope to share these materials with other classes as well. You are changing the lives my fourth grade students! Thank you so much and we can't wait for the fun to start!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Zalaznik-Grill
