Making Notes Accessible

Funded Dec 18, 2012

Thank you so much for all of your donations to technology that will improve instruction in my classroom. While I have a projector and a desktop computer, students still prefer to see notes written out, so that I go through the process with them. PowerPoint slides make it difficult to go through the mathematical processes that you can by writing and doing "think-alouds."

This wireless USB to VGA device that wirelessly connects my laptop with OneNote to the projector allows me to take notes and save them. I then post these notes on Blackboard for my students to refer to later. The students have responded well to notes in this form. They know that if they miss something they can look at it later on their own at home. Students that are absent will have access to the notes that were taken in class, rather than having to borrow from a friend who might not have written everything down.

Again, thank you for all the help in making my classroom better for all students.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. Wilkinson
