"Try my best!" and "Never give up." are two rules to live by in my classroom. These push my students to be the best learners they can possibly be! My students are eager learners who are resilient and persevere through it all. My students function in a loving, yet challenging, classroom community that pushes them to be the best they can be. We believe all things are possible in our classroom! My students come from all different kinds of backgrounds, yet, thrive together as a community of learners. These scholars look out for each other and work hard to accomplish their goals. I am blessed to teach second grade in a low income/high poverty, urban, public school. 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch each school day. My students are overcomers, even when the odds are stacked against them. They are truly capable of great and mighty things!
