Union Hill is a small, urban public elementary school with 100% of our student receiving free or reduced lunch. In my Social Studies and Science classroom students conduct mock trials, debate current events, create online portfolios of their work mastering key concepts, design and film videos about course content, and we read, read, read and write, write, write. My students are hungry to learn and I am eager to teach them 21st century skills with STEM projects, but have very limited resources in-house. Any resource we attain to help facilitate this kind of teaching and learning makes a huge difference!
