New Year, New Snacks
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for your contribution to my students. I hope that you know that it really does make a difference. I love being a place that students can feel safe. We know that in order for students to learn, their basic needs must be met. Being able to provide a snack that they are familiar with and like is a great place to start. Having seating that allows our little learners to have their feet firmly on the floor is so important. It removes the distraction of having to keep themselves in their seat with their core and permits them to focus on the task at hand. My students absolutely love fidget toys and feel like their need for movement is honored by having various ways to expel that extra energy.
Thank you so much for your consistently generous contribution to education!”

Funded May 9, 2023Thank you so much for your support of students at Edmond Public Schools. I know that you understand both the heart educators have for our students and the struggle of keeping up with the demand for appropriate materials for our students. This donation helps to get materials in the hands of students and their families who need very specific materials. You have provided lessons for students who learn and communicate through AAC devices. You have given materials for parents to better understand how to work with their child's communication device at home. Through your generosity, students are making progress on their goals and are better able to meet their own basic needs through language.
Thank you!!”

Funded Nov 5, 2022I am so thankful for your generous donation. My students have LOVED having more materials to supplement their learning. The hands-on activities have really helped engagement and comprehension.
They were amazed the first time they saw the Cricut cutting out custom materials for the books that we discuss together. They have loved getting to create their own stories with the materials that you have helped them have access to!
I have a few students who want to use legos every day as soon as they walk through the door. It is a very motivating task for them and they work hard to be able to express their creativity through building new things.
My students have loved talking about figurative and literal language with the Amelia Bedelia books. They are listening intently to see who can identify the misunderstandings in every book and interpret the intended meaning.
It has been so fun and encouraging to see students so excited to learn and participate!”

Funded Dec 21, 2021Thank you so much for your contribution! To have so many options when it comes to hands on learning is wonderful. It's been so much fun to pair books and activities when I work with students. My students love having crafts, novel activities, stickers, and so many other things that help with generalization of skills.
Practical items like the blue sheets of paper have been great to catch parent's attention to let them know what we are working on at school. It also has information on ways that they can target those skills at home too.
I so appreciate your support. Thank you again for your generosity!”

Engaging and Hands-on Literacy
Funded Feb 11, 2022Thank you for your generosity in funding my project. It has brought such a sweet and refreshing joy about learning. My students are so excited to work on their communication skills with these hands on resources. They love building collaboratively and learning new vocabulary as they explore various sensory bins full of animals. They have heard new stories from the books and crafted their own as they engage in new ways with these materials. Every time they enter the room, they are excited to try a new activity or return to one they loved. I appreciate the support!”
