The p.e. equipment I am requesting will be put to good use. In my district, teachers k-6 teach our own p.e. daily and we have to supply our classrooms with the equipment. My students are very active and need to have structured physical education instead of just an extra recess. My students have asked for hula hoops, balls, and jump ropes. If we get our donations, we can have fun outside and improve our learning inside! Studies have shown that students perform better academically when they are able to have structured play time. As an advocate of physical fitness, I would love to see my sweet students enjoy learning to be active. I believe encouraging students to get moving outside is a great way to combat the obesity that has plagued our students in the US. Please, help get my students fit!
