Hands-On Kindergarten
Funded Aug 10, 2022We are well into our school year and learning so many things in kindergarten. The students are enjoying many hands on lessons that incorporate materials we would not have had if it were not for your generous donations. The kids are exploring letters and letter sounds with new small group tools such as ready to use alphabet centers that help them practice identifying letters and sounds in a fun way with classmates. They have super fun puzzles and manipulative that reinforce the math skills being taught during whole groups such as one to one correspondence, number recognition, or counting. The students and I are so appreciative of your thoughtfulness.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 11 other donors.Center Time Is a Great Time in Kindergarten
Funded Nov 23, 2021The supplies that our classroom was able to receive with the help of your generous donations have been so beneficial. The students got so excited each time a package would arrive and we would unpack them. Their eyes would get so big and they would ask over and over what it was. When we started putting the supplies to use it was like Christmas. Each center has been used in ways that helped me differentiate lessons and groups of learning. The students are so engrossed in learning with the supplies bought with your donations that it has helped some regain interest and others continue building strong skills for the future. We appreciate you so so much!!”

Flexible Seating in Kindergarten
Funded Oct 21, 2021There has been so many exciting activities going on in kindergarten that would not have been possible without your generous donations. The students have been learning so much while using the light tablet during lessons and many of our learning centers have been much more productive with access to the wiggle chairs. As a teacher it has been so enjoyable to watch the students light up each time I plan a lesson or small group centered around the light table. With your donations my reading and math small group lessons have been so much more engaging and student are more comfortable while learning. Not only have the wiggles chairs been used in centers and groups but they have been so helpful for my sensory seeking students at various times during the days and help with concentration. Your donations are appreciated greatly by Mrs. Sutphin's class, and will be forever helpful for years to come!”
