My goal is to help students see themselves living the American Dream as future engineers, architects, community helpers and productive citizens! Using these materials in the different Career Cooperation Stations will open up interests and mastery of skills in areas they did not know they had! The Block Play People and Community Helpers will help them envision their own gender, race and ethnic backgrounds in career and citizenship situations. The Engineer-a-Coaster activity, Survive the Quake Engineering Kit and I Can Build It Architecture activities will show them that they are master designers! The Traffic Block Play and Community Carpet will be used with transportation materials I already have to play in creating real life situations and problem-solving. Behind all of this learning through play is practicing cooperating and problem-solving with their classmates which in turn will help them be outstanding citizens of our country!
