Thank you for supporting children learning about the Lunar New Year through books, red envelope treats with chocolate coins, eating with chopsticks and noodles, learning about fortunes through the fortune cookies, and decorating our whole school by hanging lanterns on every classroom doors. Many classrooms were learning and enjoying receiving LNY treats, creating dragon puppers, hanging and making their own lanterns, and reading about LNY through books and watching videos. Your support and generosity made it possible for students who don't normally celebrate this holiday, got a chance to learn about it by interacting with the materials and resources!!”

Thank you for funding our project to get additional books with familiar characters that they like, like Pigeon, Biscuit the Dog, and Pete the Cat. They love going to our classroom library to choose and read the books that they are interested at and enjoyed reading. They love having the varieties of books to read in the library or in their reading bags to read at their seats.
My Kindergarten students are starting to learn to read, especially with CVC words, so these simple books will help them to read more fluently and to build confidence as they read more and more!!
Thank you for your support and your generosity!!”

We couldn't get the ties, but I was able to get some Valentine's Day snacks and 100th Days of school activities to celebrate this February. The children love the Valentine's Day snacks and toys. I believe in providing healthy snacks for them despite celebrating the holidays, so having the fish crackers, heart fruit snacks, and strawberry poke crackers with a sticky hand toy enclosed in a heart shape holder were a treat for all the children. They had a blast for Valentine's Day. We will be celebrating the 100th Days of school this week. I can't wait to complete the 100th day colorings and string 100 fruit loops cereal with pipe cleaners in our math centers. Thank you for making our holidays special with all these snacks and activities!! Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!!”

Thank you for these bilingual books to read and listen to. For the Spanish speaking students in my class, they get the chance to listen to stories being read in Spanish or songs sung in Spanish. Being able to read or listen to stories read in their own language will help them to feel less foreign since they can't understand when I'm talking to them most of the time. Also, during our DEAR time, they get to read bilingual books while other students read the English books in our class library. They also get a chance to choose a variety of bilingual books to put into their Book Baggies to be kept in their desks. Having these bilingual books make such a difference in our classroom. Even the English speaking students get a chance to learn some Spanish words when they listen to these books. Your support has made a difference in our class. We never thank you enough for funding this project!!”

Lunar New Year is coming up, and I can't wait to start teaching my students about the holiday next week. Reading the Lunar New Year books, decorating my class, making lanterns and dragon puppets, using chopsticks to eat Chinese food will help my students explore the holiday and experience the traditions and culture firsthand. Teaching my students to say words in Chinese, especially the numbers and writing them will show them numbers are written differently in different languages. Sharing about my culture will help the students to relate to me. Your support and generosity will be greatly appreciated!!”

Thanks for the support in getting STEM resources through the Teachers Pay Teachers website. I was able to get kid-friendly worksheets to learn about Science and Math topics. I was able to get visual aids and vocabulary words so my students can understand word meanings. I was able to get online, interactive STEM games for students to have fun while learning about STEM topics, like weather, animals, plants, water, and others. My students love to read, cut and paste, and write about the STEM topics. Your support and generosity made it fun and easy for my students to learn!!”
My class has several students who moves around a lot, so the fidget kit will help them to calm their bodies down and help them to focus on learning, so thank you for funding my project so they could have these materials in front of them. Also, the other ELA, Science and Math games will help them to learn sequencing, sorting, and tying their shoes. These materials will help me to teach my students life skills and critical thinking skills. These materials are especially important for my students to learn to be ready for 1st grade by June!! Thank you for your support and generosity!! Happy New Year!!”

Thank you for supporting this project to get reading games to help my students to learn letters and journals to support their storytelling by writing their ideas. The sensory toys will my students to calm themselves down when they are too excited or when they are feeling sad or down or when they get too angry and needs them to comfort them. These materials will help my students to be able to support their learning by practicing and learning to be independent. I hope all of these materials will help my students to be confident in saying, sounding out letters and writing words or sentences to create stories. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!!”

My students love these ELA and Math puzzles. They used them in the small group centers. The puzzles create opportunities for students to work together to complete the puzzles as a team. The alphabet puzzles helped to review the letters and matching upper and lower case letters. The large number puzzle is in English and Spanish so students learn to say the numbers in both languages. The children not only have fun playing with the puzzles, but they are also learning or reviewing the phonics and math concepts. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!!”

Through bilingual books, games, and interactive books, my ENL students will learn English while continuing to learn Spanish vocabulary words. I hope with these materials, the Spanish speaking students will learn to pick up English vocabulary words. With teacher support, the students are learning English while having fun. They can also interact and speak with the students in the class. Other students will want to use these bilingual resources to reinforce the English vocabulary words while wanting to learn Spanish words too!! Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!!”
My students have the potential to be exceptional learners. They just need the necessary classroom supplies to help them to write, draw, color using pencils, colored pencils, crayons, notebooks, and listen to audio books and learn with digital tools using headphones without bothering others. They will use dry erase markers to spell words and learn to read. These basic classroom supplies will help my students to build their literary skills and be exceptional learners in all subjects.
They are first graders who are building their knowledge with these school supplies.
